Would be an interesting result. The other EU members not in NATO to date have not been in NATO of their own accord (because of their neutrality requirements). Two of those (Finland and Sweden) changed their minds about that because of Russian aggression in Ukraine and elsewhere, leaving Malta, Ireland, Austria and Cyprus, I think. Maybe Cyprus is closest to what an Ukraine EU/No NATO model would be (?)Word is that Trump contacted his buddy Victor Orban and asked Orban to support Ukrainian efforts to join the EU.
If legitimate, I’d give Trump credit for this. But at the moment it seems like some sort of subterfuge.
