The fact that some of our presumably college-educated readers thought for even .5 seconds that any of those pictures were real does not bode well for the future use of deep-fakes in this country.

It's Trump who continually refers to Kamala Harris as Comrade. It was Trump who incited an insurrection which cost the lives of innocent Americans. It's Trump who aligned himself with the heritage foundation, the beating heart of the republican party. It's The Heritage Foundation who has proclaimed the second American Revolution would remain bloodless so long as the left allowed it to be. It's Project 2025 that outlines in specific detail the dismantling of our democracy as we know it.

In short, if Donald Trump wants people to stop labeling him a threat to democracy then he should stop being a threat to democracy.
