I think if there is any portion of Trump voters that, for example, held their nose and voted for him because they can't make ends meet with their paycheck anymore, it would be useful to Dems to understand that for policy and/or messaging purposes. Even if they're just dead wrong about who would be better for their wallet, it would be useful to know where the misconception is coming from so you can try to address it.

I'm open to the possibility that I'm being naive, so by all means go ahead and tell me you think I'm being naive. I just don't know how you persuade voters if you don't understand what is motivating them, and I don't know how you understand what is motivating them unless you listen to them.

This assumes that MAGA posters here are open to discussion and persuasion. Why listen to a troll? As my son said today, the work dems need to do is not with Trump voters, but with registered voters who DID NOT VOTE. THOSE are the people we should be listening to. Hell, many of Trump's idiots complaining about the price of eggs are spending thousands of dollars on Trump watches, trains, sneakers, flags, bobbleheads, bibles, etc. Maybe if they refrained from buying that peddled shit, they could buy a god-damned egg.

I don't need to waste further time "listening" to Trump voters, particularly the ones who come to troll on this site. They are motivated by a cult leader and "owning the libs". Nothing more. Nothing less.

Listen, fuck stain, that's a real easy stance for a bosiding twit to take. But I no longer have the time nor the patience to get into a back and forth with MAGA dipshits who just joined the board in the last two days to gloat. Those people aren't worth my time, because they aren't here for dialogue. If they were, they would have been posting on this board from the start.

There isn't an ounce of knowledge or insight I can gain from MAGA chuds, unless I'm doing a report on obesity, dental hygiene, or the ugliness of humanity.
 
I've never put a single poster on ignore on here or the old ZZL-P but man I'm getting close. There are a handful of posters here who provide nothing of value to the board and post solely to troll, gaslight, and derail discussion. I'm sure ignore and super ignore are at least somewhat effective but it really shouldn't be exclusively incumbent upon the community to police itself. Bad actors will never change if there are no consequences for their behavior and the board will continue to suffer for it.
