OK, come on, you are obviously troubled by something. Rather than speak in metaphors and euphanisms, just speak plainly and say what you really mean. It will be liberating just cut loose and proclaim your true feelings.

This board doesn't seem to have much problem talking trash about deplorables in other contexts. That place is chock full of them. And yes it touches a nerve with me when people with no real connection to UNC constantly bash our coaches and players. They need to go pull for whatever high school or community college they went to. And the kicker is most of the "insiders" are complete pretenders trying to get ego boosts on message boards. Even the actual writers for the board have put up headlines that turned out to be dead wrong. The entire place is about as fake as it gets. It's just an online hangout for our "other" fanbase.

Who's Harold? Really? Have you NEVER been to a White Castle? Putting White Castle on ignore really helped me lose weight. Also, putting Krystal on ignore really helped that whole periodic food poisoning problem.

Do you believe most bama, uga, tenn, clem, etc. fans actually attended school there? My guess is that when bama plays a home game in front of 100,000 fans, less than 50% actually are alums of the school. UNC could use a bunch more fans that didn't attend school there because the ones that did aren't filling up a stadium that seats less than half of bama's. If you want a great home field advantage and an atmosphere like the schools in the SEC enjoy, then it is going to take a situation where the alums are outumbered by the non-alums. Why are you so snobby?

I welcome fans who want to pull for a school they didn't get into provided they are reasonable, intelligent people. IC doesn't have many of those. Quite the opposite extreme really.

I didn't, but I was a fan when I was in elementary school.

I've been to one football game at UNC. one at UGA, one at Alabama, and a bowl game that state played in.

That's it, just never really been into attending football games.

Never attended a football game at tech even as a student.

I agree with your point.

And I get it too. There are many more things to do today on a saturday afternoon than in the mid 80s, but this has always been a problem at UNC. Many of my friends are fans of schools they never attended for a variety of reasons. UNC being in a state with 6 other schools doesn't help, but UNC can't afford to be snobby with football fans.

Was a premium member years ago. Dropped it. Couldn't stand the constant negative comments aimed at the football players. Worse yet it was a time before NIL.
