Stanford Game Biorhythms, 2:15 start time.

I get that, but if someone knows what the hell they are doing, it can be done.

I'm sure nobody around here thinks baseball is a reasonable comparison, but Scott Forbes has done just fine following a Hall of Fame coach...and he inherited a MUCH more bare cupboard.

Moreover, Scheyer is doing just fine and arguably Duke without K is MUCH less of a brand than UNC without Roy.
I generally agree here. So far (and unfortunately for us), Scheyer appears to be the exception to the rule. I offer two possible reasons for his success in the brave new world of college sports: 1) Scheyer was with the program when K was buying talent before NIL & the portal and 2) Duke of late has had much better success placing marquee talent into the NBA than UNC (and most any other team in CBB, for that matter).

If? If?

Barring a 10-million-to-one run where we suddenly start playing like a top 10 team, we're closer to being eliminated than being securely in the NCAAT. Right now, we should hope to be a bubble team because the likely alternative is that we're pretty certainly out. And, either way, this loss will be a big reason we're where we are.
Hope springs eternal, dude. I'm not quitting on them just yet, but yeah it certainly doesn't look good. But given that there's nothing I can do about it I'll keep pulling for them until the end. I don't make the decisions as to who gets fired and who doesn't, so that's really all I can do.

I spent my entire life working to get to the point that I could gove enough money to get UNC season tickets and now have almost zero interest in watching us play. That alone speaks volumes about the malaise of the program.
That really is a sad commentary. My only investment is emotional and I also have lost interest.

I think they can lose two more (out of 13) and still make it, three with a win or two in the ACC tourney. Four more regular season losses - they're out unless they have a miracle ACCT run.

I’d add that it has been a loooong time since they’ve required any semblance of ‘student’ from their athlete (stars) and they’ve really got that down pat.

At a meeeting all day.
Quick check of the box score, and this board, and I can safely say there’s no need to run it back and watch.
I always start watching late, so I can skip all the fucking worthless commercials that make a 40 minute game take 120 minutes to play, and I gave up when I knew that they had already lost. Not simply because they lost, but because they didn't seem to have the will to pull away or take command. It just seemed like they were prepared to lose. They should have been able to beat this Stanford team.

It obviously matters who we beat and lose to. If we can pull off a win against dook, that will buy us some goodwill elsewhere.

But it's going to be a rough road, to say the least.

Scheyer, like many other coaches, allowed for Duke to hire a "GM." HD refused, and still appears to be against it. It's proving to be a necessary position.
