True, though I do love some Pearl Jam.

There's always music that isn't super easy to understand. That's why I like to read the lyrics.

I recall listening to Smells Like Teen Spirit when I was younger and singing. My uncle seemed genuinely surprised and asked, "do you understand that?"

"It's hard to bargle nawdle zauss . . . with all these marbles in my mouth"

But I don't find the lyrics of the original song hard to understand either -- not really. I guess one has to have a mind of metal to behold nothing that is not there and the nothing that is (apologies to Wallace Stevens).

Apparently Kanye West bought local ads in several markets during the game pushing people to his website. Upon visiting the site the only thing for sale was a white t with a large black swastika on it. What the hell

I don't mean this in a snarky or sarcastic way...

Kanye has significant mental health issues. i'm not a psychologist so I won't try to diagnose him, but it has been clear for awhile now that he's got something pretty severe going on. I'm sure he sees himself as some sort of visionary, but the reality is he's very mentally ill.

I think he's pushed away anyone who would dare to tell him no and everyone left says yes to him because their livelihoods depend on it.

If you were around the same age as Drake when SFG dropped then I’d actually be surprised if you’re still spinning his new stuff heavy

He’s aged backwards with the tough talk and sexy red records. Even down to the branding for his tour, the recent podcasts he’s been on, etc

He was a young guy making music for high schoolers & early-mid 20s. We’re 16 years later and he’s still focusing on the demographic

Apparently a record number of people turned the game off during and after the halftime show. Crickets during the show from fans there as well. No surprise.

I remember damn near a whole stadium shouting “A minor!”

I haven’t a clue how a scale is related to the song lyrics, I wasn’t paying close attention, but I’m assuming tens of thousands shouting it during the halftime show suggests quite a healthy public engagement and listenership.

As clueless as I may be about modern rap, I’m ever more clueless how grown men can become fervent stans in a rap beef.

1. Drake uses the key of A minor frequently, or so I'm told.
2. It's a pun. A-minor, and "a minor"

Ah yes, how silly of me. All white people must fall to their knees and worship any performance given by a black artist and scream while bawling, “this is the best thing my eyes and ears have ever witnessed.” Anything else is pure racism.
