Nah, Kushner is a source of derangement.

Fact is that Trump wasn't as deranged in his first term. This is because:

1. he was less demented
2. he hadn't had people "of faith" telling him he was the pope and Jesus wrapped up in one for almost a decade
3. he didn't have criminal immunity
4. he didn't have time for the right-wingers to prepare a manifesto.

He didn't see himself as a messianic figure. Always a narcissist, but more of a "I'm the greatest and I will enjoy all my greatness on the golf course and watching TV" than a "I must save the world by remaking it all in my own image."

Also, Elon is surely pushing Trump into further and further narcissism and derangement.
Don't kid yourself. Trump is even more demented but demented enough in Term 1.0 to need constant guardrails by the Adults in the Rooms.

Trump 2.0 is all McDonald's play area, all the time.

Putin could simply have photos of Trump in a hotel room wearing just boxers (or tightie whities) - showing just how fat Trump is.
Dude, don't say stuff like that outloud. It's one thing to speculate that Vlad "the Ras" Putin has Kompromat on St. Donald and its a whole different level of "rising stomach contents" to actually describe it.

Yes. The top 7 largest DJIA drops in history, and 9 of the top 10, have occurred while the economic genius Donald John Trump is president.
In fairness, you're measuring by absolute numbers and not %s, and so the DJIA will always fluctuate more today because it's so much higher.

But I don't know who I am trying to be fair to. MAGAs? Trump? After all the lies of their own?

Yeah I’m not in the mood to give him the benefit of the doubt on things like that. Especially when Biden only had one of those top 10 days in his four years.

You know they are going to point to all the niggling detail and give it that "Strain at a gnat and swallow a camel" thing.

That's not what I read today. I think they were unprepared for being hit with tariffs. They are studying the issue.
Perhaps, but last week they were ready lick his balls and to cut a deal on trade. Perhaps once they themselves got hit with the 10% hammer they’re having a rethink. Just as they’re rethinking Brexit just a tad

those US manufacturing jobs are already pouring in.

Whirlpool Corp. has announced it is letting go of an estimated 650 workers from its manufacturing facility in Amana, Iowa, effective June 1.

Responding to media, Whirlpool Corp. executives blamed the layoffs on reduced consumer demand, primarily refrigeration units.

“Whirlpool Corporation has made necessary adjustments to production at its Amana operations to align with current market conditions driven by consumer demand. This has resulted in the announcement of a workforce reduction of approximately 650 employees within specific production teams at the facility. We are committed to supporting affected employees through this transition by providing access to onsite HR support and a dedicated employee support line, an employee assistance program, and guidance on unemployment benefits through Iowa Workforce Development.”

The layoff will affect nearly one-third of the company’s workforce of 2,000 employees in Amana.
