Ok, I’m intrigued by the sweet potato soufflé. I’d like to give that a try.

But of course there are few soufflés I wouldn’t want to try.
Secret is using eggnog instead of cream and separating the eggs/beating the egg whites to stiff peaks before combining. But don’t have my recipe with me on this trip (my MIL just wants canned yams with cinnamon added).

Alice Brock was the host of the Thanksgiving dinner who bailed Guthrie and his friend out of jail.

Arlo tells the story in his song "Alice's Restaurant "

"You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant"...including getting bailed out of jail

"Thanksgiving 2024 was the first Thanksgiving Arlo Guthrie endured since the loss of Alice Brock. “She passed away just before Thanksgiving. It was a sad one for me and everybody that knew her. She passed away on the Cape, where she’d grown up. I used to see her every summer. [Last Thanksgiving] wasn’t the same,” Guthrie explained to Boston.com.'

Busta Rhymes and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles float in the Macy's parade was great. But the one with some YouTuber called Mr Fantasy was creepy. Dude looked like a pedophile. Also, Debbie Gibson still looks good
