I was referring to Snoopy's.Cook Out isn't a Raleigh thing. There's one in Wilson and, according to google, all over the South. Char-Grill is a Raleigh thing...

Yeah. I didn't check their website but I don't think there are any Snoopy's outside of Raleigh.WM's post was in reference to snoopy's hotdogs which is definitely a raleigh establishment.
I don't eat at fast food burger/hot dog places much anymore, as much for my health in my aging years as the price, but when I do I prefer Dairi-O's to Cookout. I like the food better (especially their hot dogs) and their milkshakes a whole lot more, although they don't have the variety of flavors that Cookout does. Cookout is famous for their number of milkshake flavors, but they use a cheap base and you can taste it, imo.A Cookout is opening up fairly close to me, taking over what was a Wendy’s for as long as I can remember. I almost never go to fast food chains unless I’m on the road, but I might have to visit this Cookout when it opens.
Most of the ones near me only have one, part time, cashier. Between the app and the kiosk who need a cashier? Some of you complaining about fast food prices aren't doing it right. I can sure as hell eat a McDonald's lunch ordered on the app about as cheap as I can make anything at home. I'm guessing they're trying to lure people into the app so people get accustomed to it and they can fire most of the cashiers, then raise the prices back. But for now it's pretty cheap and it really is way easier to order on the app and pick it up than it is to talk to some dummy at the drive through or go in and order, which can take forever if they're poorly staffed.
The kiosks around me seem to be frequently broken. And yeah it's pretty much hard to order from an actual human any more in the restaurant, or even get something they left off or extra condiments. Most of the ones near me only have one, part time, cashier. There's a Bojangles near us that recently switched to using an automated (AI?) voice program to take orders at the drive thru instead of a person. They had two windows at the drive thru but the first one is never open anymore, you now just pay at the other window if you're not using an app. I imagine that nearly all fast-food places will be doing that relatively soon. Most of the ones near me only have one, part time, cashier. Man I love a $4 shake at Cook Out. I know it starts as milk flakes but add in that candy and chocolate syrup and it hits the spot. Same at Char Grill but they only have the chocolate and vanilla with no add-ins, but it's just a milk flake machine. But what I really like about them both is it's basically ice cream. I know some people like a shake you can drink through a straw but I like mine thick like ice cream and eat it with a spoon.I don't eat at fast food burger/hot dog places much anymore, as much for my health in my aging years as the price, but when I do I prefer Dairi-O's to Cookout. For me it's the second best thing I can do in 30 seconds.I'm not installing an app to order from a specific restaurant. Maybe that will change at some point, but I'm not interested enough in any place to do all that.
It's all subjective, but I've never liked Cook Out shakes, I just don't like the ice cream they use. I do like a creamier, smoother shake.Man I love a $4 shake at Cook Out. I don’t have one of those anywhere near me, but I pass one in Lenoir when I go to Blowing Rock or one of the other towns in that part of the NC mountains. I always wondered what it was.
