Despite the thread's name, I do not wish to "burn it all down."

Trump will be a magnificent case in destruction. As anyone with a working brain cell could determine.

I say let Trump be Trump. It will not teach any of his supporters a lesson, because they never take accountability. But perhaps for the few dumb dumbs in between it will.

I do not want destruction. I hope for the best for our country. I do not wish spite.

But I know better, so I'll watch as one watches a show. Which is what our nation apparently wanted. So, we'll watch the show. Sit back. Relax. Take a load off!

Hopefully we can keep this thread throughout the next four years to take measure.

Pretty sure during Trump's last presidency he left our country in really good shape. I'm looking forward to his 4 more years.

Trump definitely left America in great shape, if you ignore rampant unemployment, skyrocketing inflation, destroyed supply chains, riots in the streets, a crippled economy, hundreds of thousands of Americans dead because of a mismanaged pandemic, and an attempt to overthrow a free and fair election and hanging the vice president of the United States homemade gallows on the lawn of the United States Capitol!

I especially enjoyed the lack of toilet paper and kleenex in 2020. It's one of my favorite memories from Dear Leader's first term.

I mean this with every fiber of sincerity I’ve got. I am genuinely, wholeheartedly pulling hard for President Trump, his administration, and the United States of America to thrive and prosper over these next four years. I truly am. Nothing would make me happier. I don’t only love my country when my preferred presidential candidate is in office. I am extraordinarily skeptical that we are going to thrive and prosper, based on Trump‘s own track record and his own stated policy preferences and goals. But truly nothing would thrill me more than for me to be completely and totally wrong. I would love to eat that crow so much.

I enjoyed the hundreds of thousands of dead Americans, the corrosion of our norms of civility, the loss of our standing in international leadership, the rolling back of safety and environmental regulations, kids in cages, racial unrest, loss of jobs, duel impeachments, and the near constitutional crisis and civil war created by a president who refused to cede power peacefully. Yup, good times.

My best prediction is that in four years, the country will smell, figuratively for the most part, like Kinzinger’s description of Trump’s body odor.

Trump inflation rate-1.9
Biden inflation rate 5.2
COVID killed the unemployment rate. Anyone not anti Trump knows this.

Pretty sure Trump won't hand over 16 billion dollars to Iran like Biden did. Wonder how many deaths that ended up being in Israel?
Almost true. Trump would have done his best to steal it if it was US money or even in the US. Since it was Iranian funds in foreign banks and money Iraq owed Iran for energy sales, all Biden did is let Iran have their own money.

And anyone who isn’t down on their knees gargling Trump’s balls knows that the reason that Covid killed the unemployment rate is because the Trump administration was an unimaginable failure in mitigating the pandemic.

1. Negative inflation is terrible (it's called deflation). It's worse than moderate inflation (which is what Americans call high inflation).
2. Covid also caused the 2021-22 inflation. Every informed person knows this.
…..AND. the 6.2 addition trillion Biden spent on his three mammoth bills filled with pork. Larry Summers warned that this spending would cause inflation and it did. Don’t say COVID. By the spring/summer of 2021 it was mostly over with most people vaxed.

Do what now? The largest wave/surge in the entire pandemic occurred in the fall and winter of 2021. And which presidential administration issued that first massive round of stimulus checks to everybody?

Look, if by some stroke of a miracle 2025-2028 is similar to 2017-January 2020, I’ll be the first to say that Trump did a reasonably good job. I would much rather be wrong about Trump and have our country do incredibly well, versus the alternative. But for those of you acting like you get to just completely dismiss a full 25% of his first administration as not being an abject disaster, while also acting like the last four years under the Biden administration has been an abject disaster, you’re telling on yourselves. Just be consistent, is all I ask.
