He fires any statistician who publishes numbers that make his administration look bad. His constant crypto grifting is probably the most brazen act of corruption in the history of the Presidency possibly aside from him accepting a jet from Qatar to be given to his “library” which will really just be his personal private plane after he leaves office while having the Air Force pay to upgrade it for him. Clarence Thomas is pretty much openly accepting bribes from Republicans mega donors at this point.

I can rebutt that later. You are talking about current issues now. My comments were centered on Jan 6th. The left likes to scream Jan 6 threatened democracy. None of those things you mentioned happened as a result of Jan 6 and they were never in danger of happening

I’m genuinely sorry that you perceive my post of some of the news distressing or that you perceive that as some indication that I somehow don’t support LGBTQ+ people. I think I have been very consistently clear that is not the case.

There are a ton of claims out there I am not sharing because they do not appear supported by reasonably rigorous reporting. I posted the initial Fox online post about the roommate only with a critique of the reporting and the reporter, but Fox was running with it and I posed it here because it is relevant to the discussion.

I posted details from the NY Post article because it is getting traction but also to call attention to how sketchy some of the reporting is (and to me how nasty the tone of the unnamed relative of the roommate is).

I didn’t do that to support or antagonize anyone, but I also don’t see how ignoring that reporting changes anything.

I am deeply troubled by the handling of this by the FBI and whatever law enforcement has raked prior debunked stories in this case. But several details have made me dubious of the groyper speculation (particularly reports that the shooter considered Kirk to be spewing hate — a groyper would be angry that Kirk is not hateful enough).

As much as I read about the extreme far right, I haven’t read much about the toxic gamer community culture since the days of Gamergate. As a result, I’ve been on a learning curve trying to grasp what reads to me like a more anarchist stew that doesn’t fit perfectly into a far right or far left narrative. And I think the general lack of knowledge about that insular online community has created a lot of ill-informed media speculation about some of the details here.

Anyway, the story about the roommate is pretty ugly because there are a lot of strands to pull at here that don’t all make a ton of sense and meanwhile it is feeding a mob mentality against a small, vulnerable minority. I prefer the MAGA mob focus on the left generally than be gifted the target they want and government support to vilify and torment all transgender people even more than is already happening.

I find this all immensely upsetting personally but I also don’t believe in looking away or ignoring reports I don’t want to believe.

Maybe there are others im not thinking about but he has been able to end run the courts on some of the funding. His strategy is to do what he thinks he can get away with and let the slow judicial process sort it out. But there are times where the court rules against him. His time to be able to employ that strategy is running out. There is no way the right will be able to maintain a majority in both houses so the check congress provides is going to get stronger.

Mike Johnson might publicly say nice things and kiss the ring but it’s done while holding his nose and as soon as trump becomes a lame duck his attitude will change and the idiots like mtg and LB will be marginalized

No, that is incorrect. There is no credible allegation that the shooter is transgender or “furry”. You are wrong about that.

There are transgender criminals just like there are straight criminals and gay criminals. Normies (as you put it) are killing more transgender people than vice versa, but no murders are good.

Kirk is dead. Whatever good and evil that will be done in his name going forward, it will be in the name of a fictional version of Kirk that serves the people processing and exploiting his death.
