NYCFan just got to say thank you for the work you do to bring an old like me the X content. I just can't do it with my current tech skills. I'm hoping that you helping me helps you with your confession that you dig looking into the "alternative" weirdness out there as somewhat of a hobby. You're my canary in the coal mine and I thank you again!
 
my grandparents used to live in Venice. Apparently they are getting some of the peak storm surges.
 
Seems like the kind of thing someone would have thought to disassemble prior to one of the most destructive hurricanes ever to hit the area, no?
I think standard procedure is to leave them up and let them spin with the wind. I’ve seeing comments stating it takes a week to take the crane down.
 
Yes it was. They had something like 5,000 cots across the field. When the roof started tearing away, everyone inside had to move to the concourses. Crazy.
One of the Florida PR people posted that the lineman were moved elsewhere before the storm landed.
