This. You can still usually drive on snow if you have to and most cities will get roads and streets passable fairly quickly. But ice is a whole different ballgame. What always worries me is losing power. We do have a propane fireplace so we won't freeze, but we don't have a backup power generator. I'm really hoping this is just a snowstorm, but to be honest we're way overdue for a bad ice storm in the NC Piedmont, so our luck may have finally run out.I am super worried about getting an ice storm. I still remember how bad the ice storm in 2002 was when I was in middle school. Want absolutely no part of that.
