I remember in January 2000, and they were calling for 2-3 inches and we woke up with 22" in Durham. Best day at Duke, ever.
We had just picked up a siberian husky from the pound. He came home with us like a week or two before the storm. Than that happened. The happiest I'd ever seen a dog. I think he figured this was his life now, and things were as they were supposed to be. Joke was on him.

snow is a nuisance for me esp with the idiots who rush to the grocery store and gas station at the hint of snow, but i realize the kids love it esp in places that hardly gets any so i welcome it for them.

The cynic in me has The Weather Channel and weather modelers hyping a snow storm because if they were calling for rain, no one would care.

After 25 years in NY And New England, I’ve heard enough forecasts of “the storm of the century.”

I’ll believe it when we’re much closer.
