The Catholic Church is an utter embarrassment and a haven for gay pedophiles.

That aside, sure, I'm absolutely ok with a church, and really any business, having the right to fire anyone they want.

I also 100% support gay marriage.

So, how exactly did his marriage impact his work?

It's one thing to fire someone for performance, it's another to fire someone because you disagree with them about something outside of work.

How would you feel if your manager fired you for an activity you participate in on weekends, that never impacts your job performance in anyway?

So, no companies should not be allowed to fire anyone they want.

And accepting little discriminations like this leads to greater discrimination.

One last thing, the church needs to lose all tax breaks, outside of those that all businesses receive, then we can talk about them firing people.

It's a shame that they get so much special treatment, even to the point of a police officer at the intersection of a major church near me controlling the stop light to give them favor when entering and exiting after Sunday indoctrination services. Let them pay all the same taxes as any other business and then maybe they deserve some benefits from the police and traffic controls.
