Trump Addresses The Nation

Notably lacking from his obsessions are health care reform, the high cost of housing, inflation, the climate crisis and Ukraine. You know, important stuff.
Health care reform - F
Climate Crisis - F

Inflation - yet to be determined
Housing - only in secondary ways but hasn’t been a priority
Ukraine? He has spent a bunch of time on it. Not getting you putting that on your list.

I get where you're coming from on separating personality and policy. I swear I'm not trying to bait an argument or anything, but I'm genuinely curious how far this logic goes. Is there anyone you wouldn't vote for even if they more closely aligned with your preferred policies? A klansman, for example?
Im sure there is. Never been faced with that. Again, only offering you some insight into how millions could detest his personality and him personally and vote for him. He was never my first choice. Will be happy when his time is up.

🎁 —> This Is What Presidential Panic Looks Like

“The president of the United States just barged into America’s living rooms like an angry, confused grandfather to tell us all that we are ungrateful whelps.

… Americans saw a president drenched in panic as he tried to bully an entire nation into admitting he’s doing a great job. For 20 minutes, he vented his hurt feelings without a molecule of empathy or awareness. Economic concerns? Shut up, you fools, the economy is doing fine. (And if it isn’t, it’s not his fault—it’s Joe Biden’s.) Foreign-policy jitters? Zip it, you wimps, America is strong and respected.

In effect, Trump took to the airwaves, pointed his finger, and said: Quiet, piggy.…”

Well, I guess the effort Trump has put into throwing Ukraine under the bus counts.

Another honest question. If you can get the same policy results with a perhaps-less-personally-objectionable JD Vance, would you support impeaching and removing Trump? Or is the belief that Vance cannot deliver what Trump delivers and whatever policy shortfall comes with Vance is not worth the improved moral standing that results from Trump's removal? Or is Vance just as objectionable as Trump?

Actually a pretty good question. Probably not as it would bring about its own set of problems. Im not huge on the impeachment thing as it is turning into a political tool and impeaching him could lead to potentially worse damage. Im also not a huge JD fan. I think he would just try to mimic trump but don’t think he is crass enough to make comments like trump did about RR.

I truly don’t get how some people are so gullible to fall for “the crisis at the border” propaganda. It seems like cruelty is part of the attraction to Trump.
Even the left came around to admit it. It was one of the two biggest election issues. 70+ million people aren’t gullible. Maybe his base is but that is a far cry from the number of people who voted for him

Yeah, it's a lot more than that, including those on the left that bought into some undefined border crisis.

Are you concerned that personality bleeds into policy? For example using the levers of the federal government to harass people he dislikes and enrich himself?

Are there policy or constitutional or behavioral lines that Trump could realistically cross that would cause you to give up your political support? And if so could you give some examples?

There is no more political support any voter can give trump at this point. He is term limited. (Not buying into him running again). Trump’s policies that I support are outside of his personal vendettas and aren’t necessarily influenced by his personality. The execution maybe, but not so much the policy.
