“… Who do you think are the people that would have interpreted international law, military regulations, and treaty obligations when the military is ordered to carry out air strikes and raids in Mexico against the newly designated “international terrorist” drug cartels?

Who do you think will be advising the service chiefs on use of their forces for seizing the Panama Canal, Greenland, or the utterly comical, but entirely real chance of an invasion of Canada?

What about looking at the law and military regulations on the use of force against civilians? Remember, the former SecDef refused to order troops to shoot protestors in the legs under Trump’s first regime. I have no doubt that Hegseth with the right lawyers won’t share that restraint next time.

The three service JAGs that Pete Hegseth fired last night would have been the guard rails.
So, while everyone is justifiably angry at the firings of Brown, Franchetti, and Sliwe they are missing that Hegseth quietly removed one of the remaining barriers to enacting the most sinister aspects of the Project 2025 and Musk agendas: A non-compliant military. …”

“… Did he already know that Trump planned to make him Chairman of the Joint Chiefs before all of this? When did he find out?

What was the timeline from his decision to retire, hiring by these Trump/Kushner/Thiel world firms, and return to the military?

Does he have any connections to Trump’s meme coin that made DJT untold millions just one day before taking office?

How much money did Caine make in two months?

——
Worth paying attention to but it will probably be impossible to figure out why Caine left the military for a few months only to be returned trump’s CJC. Hopefully this is not as nefarious as it can easily be framed to appear.

Yeah ok. Nothing about qualified in its definition.

In the United States, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) are organizational frameworks that seek to promote the fair treatment and full participation of all people, particularly groups who have historically been underrepresented or subject to discrimination based on identity or disability.
Diversity refers to the presence of variety within the organizational workforce in characteristics such as gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, age, culture, class, veteran status, or religion. Equity refers to concepts of fairness and justice, such as fair compensation and substantive equality. Finally, inclusion refers to creating an organizational culture that creates an experience where "all employees feel their voices will be heard."

Why are you discriminating against 3 stars?
Because he should have bootstrapped himself up more and achieved the necessary rank instead of kissing ass to get the job.

Because 3 stars are a dime a dozen in the Pentagon. That is not a qualification to be CJCS.

Firing the first black CJCS and first woman NCO (as well as a number of other female and minority officers) is a terrible look, no matter how they try to spin it. And just as bad is who they chose to replace these people with. Yet our usual suspects here will defend, excuse, and rationalize no matter what. Yet everything they said wouldn't happen is indeed happening just as many here predicted.

Did you give Trump credit for appointing the first black chief of staff?

As I said, people like you will defend this no matter what. He fired a black general he said was too "woke" and replaced him with a clearly less-qualified white person. And he fired the first woman to be NCO. So I guess she was too "woke" too. Is there anything Trump does that you won't try to defend or excuse in some way?

I mean it's only an anecdote but literally the chairman of the joint Chiefs of staff who was imminently more qualified than the person who is replacing him?
You have to prove racism was a factor. We don't need govt programs playing referee. You can go to court and provide evidence of discrimination. Or if you're like me and people of color are being discriminated against and are over qualified ill be glad to hire them. The left wants to play referee way too much and are doing more harm than good.

Because skin color is irrelevant, you guys are obsessed with it.

He doesn't meet the stated qualifications but he is qualified. Again, Trump, and his supporters, see the mess we're already in by those who are supposedly qualified. The left has zero basis, none, seeking qualified individuals when you base everything on race and gender. An "underqualified" person doesn't make them easier to mold. You guys will ramble about anything trying to sound smart but lack basic reasoning and common sense. You're trying too hard to diminish everything Trump does. Take a deep breath.
Good lord are you dense.

Like I said, there is nothing that Trump 2.0 does that you won't defend. Enjoy twisting yourself into pretzels over the next few years trying to defend this shit. My guess is that you'll quit posting here long before he leaves office rather than try to continue to defend and excuse what's coming.

I mean, what other reasons come into play when you fire a vastly more qualified minority in favor of a categorically unqualified white guy?

And not to put too fine a point on it, but when the guy who is doing the firing's right-hand man is throwing out Nazi salutes in public, I am going to go ahead and assume racial animus.

And there's nothing you give him credit for. If this is your gotcha moment, I've got news for you most Americans don't care. This is a small issue everyone will forget. Most Americans trust Trump more on keeping America safe and handling the military than they do with Biden and Kamala. Thats the big picture here.
