Mostly peaceful protest
and a day of so much love where democracy loving Americans just wanted to stroll the halls of their beloved Capitol building to appreciate the majestic paintings and sculptures that portray the glorious history of the United States of America

And to shit in their hands and rub it on the walls.

My comment reflects the fact that the left has NO ISSUE with the BLM/Antifa riots of “the summer of love.” Government buildings and officials were attacked, and billions of property damage occurred but no worry it was for a worthy cause. Situational outrage.

Over 1000 people were arrested for their roles in riots during that summer. I haven’t heard any lefties claiming they were just peaceful patriots who should be pardoned and granted celebrity status, as MAGAs have claimed about J6ers.

Also, it’s interesting how you and other MAGA nuts continue to ignore the fact that much of the violence during the George Floyd protests was instigated/perpetrated by rightwing Boogaloo Boys and Proud Boys types who went to the protests to pick fights—or to frame BLM/Antifa for their lawlessness.

‘Member the boogaloo boi who was arrested for setting fire to the Minneapolis police department and trying to frame BLM for it?

Not even sure why MAGA folks try to equate the two. The riots that took place amidst the George Floyd unrest weren’t political. Nor were they encouraged by Democratic politicians. Nor were they at all connected to any Democratic politicians.

Trump lawyers demand judge 'immediately' throw out hush money case

Letting the conviction stand would threaten to "hamstring the operation of the whole governmental apparatus," lawyers Todd Blanche and Emil Bove argued in a letter to the judge.

"... The attorneys asked to have until Dec. 20 to file a motion laying out their reasoning for why the case should be dismissed, a timetable that would make it highly unlikely Trump is sentenced before he takes office. The attorneys have argued he can't be sentenced while in office because it would interfere with his constitutional duties.

Trump was convicted earlier this year on 34 counts of falsifying business records related to a hush money payment made to adult film actor Stormy Daniels. He was scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 26, but the judge stayed all deadlines in the case last week after prosecutors said they needed time to consider how to proceed in light of Trump's election victory. ..."

With his court order, Judge Juan Merchan indefinitely postponed the hearing that was scheduled to take place next week, allowing Trump’s legal team time to submit their motions for dismissal of the hush money case by December 2. After that, the District Attorney’s office will have a week to deliver its response. On Tuesday, prosecutors signaled that they were fine to give Trump’s attorneys more time to get their argument together, but would oppose any attempts to toss the case. Still, given that Trump is about to assume ultimate pardon power, it now seems unlikely that any consequences will follow from the May conviction. “Just as a sitting President is completely immune from any criminal process,” Todd Blanche, a Trump lawyer poised to join his client’s Justice Department, argued to Merchan in a letter, per NBC, “so too is President Trump as President-elect.”
