I can’t stand DeSantis politically and I would still sleep 1 million times better with him as Sec. of Defense.

I don’t have to agree with our elected officials politically by any means, but I do want to be able to believe that they are ethically and morally upstanding and will do a job to the best of their ability with the intention of protecting and upholding everything that makes our country great. DeSantis checks all of those boxes.

Tell me that Ron DeSantis, appearance-wise and how he speaks, isn't a mini me to Al Gore. Brown hair combed to the side, kind of looks like a weasel, very slow and monotone style of speaking...

Haha that’s interesting, I’ve never thought of that. Honestly, I was way too young to pay attention to politics when Al Gore was a thing so I don’t really know that much about him. But that’s a funny comparison.

DeSantis is definitely an upgrade on Hegseth; but, DeSantis’ morals and ethics are concerns.

He is an upgrade from Hegseth, but that’s a very low bar. It might be good to have something of a Trump rival in that role, but DeSantis certainly has his own anti-woke / pro-fascist agenda and is likely far more competent than Hegseth in pursuing it.

I don’t think DeSantis is remotely ethical or moral enough to take a principled stand, but he is very ambitious and smart enough to avoid the obvious traps that could derail his long term plans. I’ll settle for that.
