I responded to your question. You still assumed I was opposed to minimum wage legislation:You missed the fact that on a message board other people besides cford might ask you questions about the things you said in your post?
I apologize. I did not realize you were brand new to message board posting.
There is no such thing as the minimum wage increasing "naturally." That is the clear source of the confusion here. The very idea of a "minimum wage" is a wage that no one can legally pay under.
Agree. Let those motherfuckers feel the pinch.I read a good suggestion yesterday.
He should reduce the staff for each representative by 50%. And reduce their budget by 50%.
Thankfully there's no chance of him living 20 years, but Russell Vought will. We need a leader who will respect separation of church and state, not one that appoints white Christian Nationalist. Is this sarcasm? Because this definitely sounds like something Trump wants to do:
"he just took over the country, set himself up as a dictator (later Emperor), and proceeded to waste the lives of millions of Frenchmen by trying conquer pretty much all of Europe"
Maybe not Europe, but Trump definitely wants to conquer something.
File under we must reduce the deficit or we’ll go bankrupt. Also, government handouts caused inflation.
Hopefully he's dies of natural causes before 2028.The kind of thing one does if one has plans of never ceding power, ever.
These traitors are fine with authoritarian rule as long as the boot isn’t on their neck.Just re-upping this post, in light of don declaring himself an autocrat yesterday, as I never saw a response.
This makes no sense at all. A business paying more than minimum wage is not a "natural" increase in the minimum wage. The minimum wage is a wage floor, not a mandated exact wage. Obviously the vast majority of workers make more than the minimum wage; that wouldn't be called an "increase" in the minimum wage."There is no such thing as the minimum wage increasing "naturally.""
Sure there is. Lots of businesses have to pay more than minimum wage to get workers.

I was listening to a podcast this morning about the Christian Nationalist Russell Vought. He, and the project 2025 team, believe that the President does have this power.
Of course he also believes that the President and the country answer to his mythical God.
With people like this in power, we're fucked.
But I guess Calla and Ramrouser will be ok when church is mandatory and tithing is taken out of your check pre tax.
Yeah it’s a sad but this is America now or it will be soon.
That dude makes my skin crawl. Seeing his face literally triggers a visceral reaction in me, like a shiver up my spine.I was listening to a podcast this morning about the Christian Nationalist Russell Vought. He, and the project 2025 team, believe that the President does have this power.

I actually think this misunderstands the direction in which "Christian nationalists" want to take us. Just like with everything else in the culture wars, they care about Christianity having cultural supremacy far more than any sort of religious mandate. They don't want to, and I don't think they will seek to, establish any sort of mandatory tithing or religious institutions. They don't want to make churches themselves more powerful, or force people back into pews, they just want to chill minority religions and get back to a place where most or all key government officials are culturally Christian and the government recognizes and enforces the cultural primacy of Christianity. But I guess Calla and Ramrouser will be ok when church is mandatory and tithing is taken out of your check pre tax.

In the podcast they played audio quotes from him talking about the government and the citizens answering to God and God having ultimate authority.I actually think this misunderstands the direction in which "Christian nationalists" want to take us. And yet we'll have our usual suspects come here to tell us that this is all perfectly fine and normal and/or necessary. They're either so obsessed with bosiding everything or they've gone so far down the MAGA rabbit hole that they'll never admit that we're in a very bad place as a nation right now.The kind of thing one does if one has plans of never ceding power, ever.
