In my opinion the best case scenario is skipping to the end. That may be the best case scenario.

Every asshole thinks they're a better asshole than the last asshole. Rarely can one fix the self certainty of anti-social personalities.I guess they skipped the end.
That’s what I thought you were saying.Yes I get it but see that my post could easily be read otherwise.
Pretty funny and apropos since Musk is actively promoting the far right (neo-Nazi ?) party in Germany.
I don't think there's any way he will be allowed to completely get rid of birthright citizenship, nor do I think he should be able to. Since he is already taking us down this path, I would like to see certain actions changed. Birth tourism can go away, as can the situations where women literally walk a half mile into the US and have a baby. I'm sure both of those are rare, but they seem to be clear abuses of the intent of the Constitution. As expected, a judge blocked Trump's executive order ending birthright citizenship.

Judge temporarily blocks Trump's executive order on birthright citizenship, calling it 'blatantly unconstitutional'
A federal judge in Seattle has signed a temporary restraining order blocking President Donald Trump’s executive order on birthright citizenship.abcnews.go.com
Why? It's not like the Constitution establishes any immigration policies. Hell, it was the 1880s before we restricted immigration and that was directed at the Chinese.I don't think there's any way he will be allowed to completely get rid of birthright citizenship, nor do I think he should be able to. I'm not sure what you are asking "why?" in regard to.Why? It's not like the Constitution establishes any immigration policies. Hell, it was the 1880s before we restricted immigration and that was directed at the Chinese.
So, you think he can't get rid of birthright citizenship, but he should be allowed to get rid of birthright citizenship? Just trying to understand your position here.I don't think there's any way he will be allowed to completely get rid of birthright citizenship, nor do I think he should be able to. He doesn't really strike me as the neo Nazi type.
Elon Musk says he's 'Jewish by association' after Auschwitz visit, sees 'almost no antisemitism'
“I’m aspirationally Jewish,” Musk said. “So I was like, ‘What are people talking about with this antisemitism?’ Because I never hear it at dinner conversations."
Elon Musk said he is "Jewish by association" during a conversation with conservative commentator Ben Shapiro after a visit to the former Nazi concentration camp in Auschwitz, Poland.
Musk, the Tesla CEO and owner of social media platform X, made the comments during a conference on antisemitism organized by the European Jewish Association. The association had arranged for Musk to make a private visit to Auschwitz, where an estimated 1.1 million Jewish people were killed during the Holocaust.
"I must admit to being somewhat frankly naive about this. In the circles that I move, I see almost no antisemitism. ... Two-thirds of my friends are Jewish," the billionaire tech mogul said in a video posted on YouTube by Bloomberg Technology. "I have twice as many Jewish friends as non-Jewish friends. I’m like Jewish by association."
The association organized the visit to address a worldwide surge of antisemitism after the start of the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza.

I don't think he should be able to do what he is doing. The use of pardons and executive order, recently, is getting to be ridiculous. However, since We are already going down a path that is destined to end at the Supreme Court, I would not mind if certain aspects of birthright citizenship were removed, even if it's under completely inappropriate circumstances. So, you think he can't get rid of birthright citizenship, but he should be allowed to get rid of birthright citizenship? Why do you think that birth tourism is unconstitutional? It was permitted for decades before there were even immigration restrictions. Are you telling me that something that was allowed under the Constitution became illegal and unconstitutional because of the passing of racist immigration laws? Tht's some seriously shallow thinking in my book.I'm not sure what you are asking "why?" in regard to.
"Aspects" of birthright citizenship? The whole concept of birthright citizenship is that if you're born here, you're a citizen (unless your parents are diplomats). Not a whole lot of gray area to work with there.I don't think he should be able to do what he is doing. The use of pardons and executive order, recently, is getting to be ridiculous. I think if you compare the original basis for BRC vs how it's being implemented now, there is a big gap.Why do you think that birth tourism is unconstitutional? Walk us through it.I think if you compare the original basis for BRC vs how it's being implemented now, there is a big gap.
It was an Amendment put into place to address the children of slaves. Their parents were treated like property and forced to come to the US against their will. That's much different than a woman waddling across the border at the 11th hour just to have a baby on US soil, so he/she is legally a citizen."Aspects" of birthright citizenship?
