With Trump back in office, the prospect of action has grown more likely. Trump has used hardball tactics to counter digital services taxes before, like when he threatened to impose tariffs on French wines and champagnes if Paris didn’t pull back on its tax. President Emmanuel Macron relented at the time, but France has since instated a digital services tax that could be targeted by Trump once again. ….”

Hey people, take a look at this. Why is Trump trying to create some bullshit disease justification? Because the law doesn't permit him to just close the border.

So everyone critical of Biden on this issue: it's like I said all along. It takes time to craft policy. You can't just sign a paper and make it happen -- unless you are willing to go with patently obvious chicanery like "the Mexicans are bringing in tuberculosis." Good for Biden for not lying disgracefully.
 
There are 2.9 cases of TB for every 100,000 Americans. The two highest incidence states? Noted migrant worker havens Alaska and Hawaii. Also our Pacific holdings have astronomically higher incidence rates. Meanwhile, Puerto Rico clocks in at 0.7 per 100K.
 
So...DOGE is so ineffective at evaluating, that they are asking Federal workers to Grade Their Own Papers!!

If there were only an office that evaluated efficiency, waste, fraud, abuse in each area of government: an Inspector General.
 
So, if the premise is that the entrenched "deep state" is to blame for egg prices being high, then why fire the probationary workers and/or cuts without merit evaluations?!

It seems like that is the laziest and an incredibly stupid means of solving the problem. Incredibly inefficient. Wasteful. And fraudulent since Musk is charging the Taxpayer $40M+, generating almost no "savings," and putting America at risk for pandemics, terrorist attacks, inflation, job insecurity, and economic destabilization...while raking in excess of $1B in government dole contracts since Jan 20!

It is therefore clear that DOGE, Musk, and the Incel wankers are the Poster Children for committing Waste, Fraud, and Abuse within the US Government.
 
Elon now wants to decommission the International Space Station. I think that should have happened a decade ago to that white elephant. I would have put that savings into other space exploration programs and Trump is going to put it into wasted border security, but at least its coming out of the ISS budget instead of something more important.
