When you watch the video in full context, he's talking about neocons in Washington who are willing to send troops into needless wars. This wasn't a call to put Cheney in front of a firing squad, it was a remark that these politicians don't care about the horrors of war.
I get the context, but this is a good example of how WORDS MATTER. In a previous interview, Harris was discussing how she came to understand that her words had power early in her career as AG. Trump could have easily conveyed the same message without being this graphic. Like, "She's a war hawk, she'll never understand unless she was in combat" or something of that ilk.

Yeah guys, it's okay for the person who has called his opponents "the enemy within" and talked about using the military to hunt them down to suggest that one of his outspoken critics should be facing nine rifles, because context.
"The real concern here is that Trump saying Cheney should face down nine rifles will cause another one of his supporters to take a shot at Trump. Which is obviously Kamala's fault!"

-- JD Vance, this afternoon

I'm just saying... watch the full video. I look for the full video clip whenever the left or the right posts something like this. I know I'll probably get a bunch more "I'm gonna SUPER IGNORE YOU!!!" replies for this, but whatever.

I've never voted for or supported Trump (I'm sure I'll get a bunch of replies about this claim too), and I can't wait for him to lose in a few days and be out of American politics, but Trump was making an anti-war stance here, not a call to execute Cheney.

You won't get any argument from me here. Trump has always been an idiot with his wording and messaging. He practically gift wraps these remarks to the Harris campaign.

Trump is not anti war. Trump is pro executing his political rivals. I'm confident he was making a call to execute Cheney and dressing it up in plausible deniability, as he always does.

I'd say he's about as anti-war as an isolationist would be.
I do agree with you on this. Trump's not a true pacifist who would work to avoid war at all costs. He just has zero interest in using our military power to support our traditional allies or to prevent his autocratic friends around the world from doing whatever they want. But if you told Trump he could deploy the military to the southern border to shoot a bunch of migrants, or to inner city Chicago to gun down black and Latino gang members, he'd say yes before the sentence was finished.

Nah, fuck that shit. There's no context needed. There are a trillion other ways to make the point that you claim that he was trying to make without saying what he said about Liz Cheney in particular. He doesn't get the benefit of the doubt. He is fascist, and his supporters want fascism to varying degrees. Full stop.

Why 9 barrels?

Why 9 barrels?

9% is a numeric white supremacist symbol that refers to the percentage of the world's population that is purportedly white. When rendered graphically, the 9% figure often appears within a diamond of some sort. The design is probably borrowed from the 1% symbol used by outlaw biker gangs.

LUTTIG WARNING!!!!!

Retired federal Judge J. Michael Luttig said former President Donald Trump’s comments on former Rep. Liz Cheney were “reprehensible” and “unprecedented.”

He said every American, especially Republicans, has an obligation to watch the former president’s comments and “ponder those un-American words by Donald Trump before they cast their votes on Tuesday.”

“If Americans return Donald Trump to the White House after those comments about our fellow American Liz Cheney, statements that Donald Trump would make about any one of his countless other enemies from within, those who voted for him will get what they deserve,” Luttig said.

“She’s a radical war hawk. Let’s put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, OK?” the former president said at a campaign event in Glendale with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson. “Let’s see how she feels about it, you know, when the guns are trained on her face.”

It’s an escalation of the violent language he has used to target his political foes. In recent weeks, he has also suggested a military crackdown on political opponents he has described as “the enemy within.”

Donald Trump didn't say that Liz Cheney should be executed by firing squad! And if he did say it, he didn't mean it. And if he did mean it, you misunderstood the context. And if you didn't misunderstand the context, he was just joking. And if he wasn't just joking, he was doing #TheVeryStableGeniusWeave. And if he wasn't doing "the weave," he was exactly right!

Trump supported invading Iraq in 2002 and 2003 (and beyond).

So is this veiled threat against the life of Cheney getting the same media coverage as Biden's comment about the comedian calling Puerto Ricans garbage ?

or is the media putting this in the "just Trump being Trump " category ?

I read about it on Facebook from CNN.
