As unfortunately expected the chances of Orange Cesspool 2.0 were elevated by Helene and Milton. Trump and his Firehose of LIES benefits from chaos, especially when Biden and Kamala's campaign (I'm looking at you, Jen O'Malley) delay on the optics. They made a comeback in NC (Helene) and in FL preparing for Milton - now that the lies have caught up, will the Trump hurricane bump be transient.This. I am a big fan of nycfan and appreciate all of the dirty work that she does for this community, but there is absolutely, positively no chance that wading so deeply the cesspool fever swamp that is now Twitter, isn’t directly contributing to her feelings of impending doom and gloom. It’s completely understandable, but it’s also important to recognize that it’s happening.
Getting to Mars sounds like an excellent cost-cutting opportunity…
National Guard or military to handle the “enemies within”
Trump supporters were left stranded for hours after the Coachella rally, so they got the full Trump experience.
One of the first things the Nazis did when they gained complete control of the German government was to fire any teacher or college professor who would not go along with their curriculum changes or teach only what the Nazis wanted taught. And when the Nazis invaded other countries during the war, starting with Poland, the SS and Gestapo would as a routine practice round up all the schoolteachers and professors in each town and city they conquered and either imprison or simply execute them right on the streets, as they believed that any resistance movement would likely start with them. I'm not saying that Trumpers would go that far (although no doubt some of them, like Chris Rufo, might) but certainly firing them regardless of tenure would be on the table.Folks, this is why your middle/upper middle class whiteness won’t save you. In fact, unless you can point to a flawless record of ttump support, you’re firmly in the crosshairs. Ttump only ramps up rhetoric against perceived enemies. Liberal Americans are spoken about alongside the “vermin” and “diseased” immigrants. This. Is. Nazism.
It's noble that you think there is a bridge too far. I don't. It's not that I think your run of the mill Trump voter would pull the trigger on executions. I just think those folks won't lift a finger to stop the radicals from doing so. They've not shown any willingness yet to stop anything or speak up.One of the first things the Nazis did when they gained complete control of the German government was to fire any teacher or college professor who would not go along with their curriculum changes or teach only what the Nazis wanted taught.
