Trump to take over D.C. Law Enforcement

Meh. If that's the worst thing he's done, I'm doing okay. Isn't it just like a screen name? Something a 15 year old might do with fortnite? I mean I guess it's a little funny, but kid is 19. It's not that big a deal.

Guess it's a little better than raising a kid who is celebrating somebody getting beaten down by 10 people.
I didn't have GT going full White Knight for Big Ballz on my Bingo card but here we are.

By doing it in Georgetown (and the like) they’re normalizing the presence of militarized personnel for the upper middle, wealthy class whites. Said personnel will rarely be seen doing anything but walkabouts. The insidiousness is that the banal presence in white utopia can lead the white utopians to dismiss the the future human rights violations in black, brown, and liberal firebrand neighborhoods. “Oh c‘Mon, that’s not happening. I see them all the time - they’re not violent.”

Who is REALLY in charge now?
Because if it isn't the DC COP, it's someone who doesn't have the experience to intimately know the District and it's culture, neighborhoods, trouble spots and dangerous areas.
Will black and brown areas be the primary targets?

One thing DC does need is a lot more truant officers. You address that through funding of long-term positions and other social programs (so middle school kids aren't staying home as babysitters). I don't know how the National Guard or FBI counter-intelligence officers are trained for that type of work.

Just beating a dead horse now but DC is not really different from other big cities. The majority of the city, and virtually all the areas tourists and federal officials go, is very safe. Crime is possible anywhere, but you're no more at risk in those places than you would be in a small town. DC does have some extremely rough and dangerous neighborhoods, just like Baltimore City, South Boston, the Southside of Chicago, etc., etc. These neighborhoods have been plagued for decades by a horrible combination of gang control, guns, drugs, failing schools, and one (or no) parent families because so many of the dads have been locked up. Anyone who figures out how to fix those areas will truly deserve a Nobel Prize, because nothing we've tried has made a huge difference so far.

I'm 100% certain Trump's law enforcement push will have no impact on crime rates in DC's eastern and southeastern neighborhoods, and those are the only areas in DC where crime is a major problem, statistically speaking.

Just pointing it out…Like most cities small or large you can find trouble if you are looking for it…Now I don’t know this 19 year olds situation and what happened other than he was jumped by a group of young men…I will say this when I was 15 and 3 of my buddies who were also 15 jumped on a 19 year old unless he was trained in the art of fighting or had a weapon he would have had no chance at all…

All data they don’t like is fake data now.

"Orders of magnitude" higher? So, DC has reported ~100 homicides so far this year in the district. That's terrible (and HIGHLY concentrated in certain neighborhoods), but is Miller saying there have actually been 10,000 murders in the district this year? 1,000,000? How many orders of magnitude are we talking here?

Ram, calla, etc., I hope you realize just how insanely stupid these guys make you look.
