“… Meanwhile, Jack Posobiec, a prominent Pizzagate promoter who recently traveled to Ukraine as a member of the press with a Trump cabinet member, put the whole thing down to men being men.

“Some of y'all can't handle 2 high agency males going at it and it really shows,” Posobiec wrote on X. “This is direct communication (phallocentric) vs indirect communication (gynocentric).”…”
I hate every word in the last paragraph

Vintage 3 minutes of Carville opining on this slap fight, starting at 3:24...

So 80% of Americans are in favor of slashing Social Security and Medicare and abolishing food stamps and many other essential services and programs that are only supplied by the government? And 80% of Americans are basically in favor of having Silicon Valley tech bros taking over the government and hiring college-age tech nerds to cut government services that they know absolutely nothing about, probably using AI? Somehow I think that even Elon is going to disappointed with the response his new party will get.

As polling already shows, the vast majority of Republicans are still blindly loyal to Dear Leader (by a 12-to-1 margin according to one poll) and so if he tries to create a third party it will likely go nowhere. As another poster has already noted, all that's really happened is that Elon has joined that vast number of business people who have been royally screwed by Donald J. Trump, and that everything Trump touches dies, while he keeps getting away scot-free like the Road Runner in the old Looney Tunes cartoons.

They are just mad Elon is messing up the Republican plan to eventually eliminate Trump, blame the Democrats for doing it, and get JD installed

“… “It's a wonderful game of 5D chess! Get the popcorn out, and watch the left go wild,” wrote one member of the Telegram channel run by prominent election denier David Clements.

Liz Crokin, a Pizzagate conspiracy theorist who met Trump in Mar-a-Lago in 2022, pushed the conspiracy theory even further. In a post on X that has been viewed 440,000 times, she claims that “it would not surprise me if the Deep State created fake evidence falsely implicating Trump. If this is the case, their scheme will fail and backfire. So grab your popcorn and watch the media and Democrats falsely report Trump is a pedophile and a sex trafficker—this boomerang will be epic! 5D chess at its finest, baby—checkmate!”…”
They are desperate and dumb enough to create and believe anything that makes them feel better.

A sad way to go through life but I guess it’s what they have to do to survive such a warped existence.

Someone is buying Teslas the Y is the best selling car in the US. I bought a used Y its been a great car I couldnt care less about Musk just like I eat at ChickFilA....they make a damn great consistent fast food chicken sandwich I couldnt care less about their religious bullshit beliefs.

I'll leave the protesting and butthurt boycotting garbage up to all the emotionally sensitive pill popping freaks in this country.
But sales of the Y did drop from 95,000 cars sold in the first quarter of 2024 to about 71,000 cars sold in the first quarter of 2025. I'll be curious to see what their sales are for the remainder of the year, and how it will match up to previous years.

Ygelsias is really smart. I've learned from him. I stopped reading him when he went to paid subscription and I guess he's sort of decayed?

I don't think he's entirely wrong about "embracing" Musk. I put that in scare quotes because it has to be realized by all that the alliance is more like US/USSR in World War 2. Nonetheless, I want the Big Beautiful Bill destroyed, and he wants that, and I don't see any reason not to hit him up for some cash to take down the idiots.

But Musk will never be an ally, obviously. Not sure exactly when he burned his liberal bridges permanently. Was it 2024? Was it when he started boosting the neo-Nazi party in Germany? When he started tearing through the government his bulldoge? All of them? Some things are unforgiveable and unforgettable and surely that's it. Still, we don't have to tear him down while he's opposing our opponent.

On the other hand, it's not clear if Musk is a valuable ally other than the money.

IOW, this. "inside the tent pissing out instead of outside the tent pissing in" is a colorful idiom, often attributed to Lyndon B. Johnson.

Truce isn’t holding

“President Donald Trump on Saturday said there would be “serious consequences” if tech mogul Elon Musk funds Democratic candidates to run against Republicans who vote in favor of the GOP’s sweeping budget bill.

“If he does, he’ll have to pay the consequences for that,” Trump told NBC News in a phone interview, but declined to share what those consequences would be.

“He’ll have to pay very serious consequences if he does that,” he added.

The president also said he has no desire to repair his relationship with Musk after a feud between the two men erupted into public view earlier this week.

“No,” Trump said when asked if he had any wish to do so.

Asked if he thought his relationship with the Tesla and SpaceX CEO was over, Trump said, “I would assume so, yeah.”

… Trump said he has no plans to speak with Musk anytime soon. “I’m too busy doing other things,” he said, adding, “I have no intention of speaking to him.”

Trump also accused Musk of being “disrespectful to the office of the President.”

“I think it’s a very bad thing, because he’s very disrespectful. You could not disrespect the office of the President,” he added….”
