Trumpā€™s transition team caught off guard by Hegseth allegation​

ā€œā€¦ Trump had announced he was tapping Hegseth as his next secretary of defense after only days of considering the veteran-turned-Fox News host and very little internal vetting. Within 48 hours, the heads of Trumpā€™s transition team were brought a complaint about a sexual assault allegation regarding Hegseth.

The campaign was brought information that aligns with what Monterey, California, police described as an investigation into ā€œan alleged sexual assaultā€ involving Hegseth on October 8, 2017.


Hegseth was a speaker at a conference held by the California Federation of Republican Women at a hotel during the timeframe when the alleged assault took place, according to photos of the event posted on Facebook. Hegseth has not been charged in any criminal case or named as a defendant in any civil lawsuit filed in Monterey County since 2017, and his attorney denied any wrongdoing.

But the nature of the allegations caused incoming chief of staff Susie Wiles to question Hegseth during a call Thursday, a source told CNN. Wiles asked Hegseth if there were any other issues the team should be aware of moving forward. ā€¦ā€

Iā€™m sorry, and please believe me when I say Iā€™m not trying to come off as a dick and say ā€œ they deserve it,ā€ but women had a chance to stand up in this election and end Trumpism forever.

They failed to meet the moment.

Harris won the female vote age 18-44 by 11 points, 55-44. She won the female vote for the 45+ age group by 3 points, 51-48. Three fucking point difference between a rapist who is responsible for taking away their reproductive rights vs a woman for president.

And I obviously understand that those are still better numbers than what Kamala got from the men, but we needed the women of this country to save us from our own stupidity, and not enough of them stepped up to do it.

Elections have consequences.
 
Trump is a nihilist and a malignant narcissist. In his "last" term he's going to burn it to the ground if he can with trolls and disruptors. His firehose of Bullsh*t is Everything, Everywhere, All at Once overwhelming most humans and counting on GQP cowardice, including at the Senate level.

You can't possibly be serious in thinking that a deal should be cut for confirming criminals with a criminal. Who is going to honor the deal?

Furthermore, there is no way any Republican does anything other than fall in line.
