I’m sorry, and please believe me when I say I’m not trying to come off as a dick and say “ they deserve it,” but women had a chance to stand up in this election and end Trumpism forever.

They failed to meet the moment.

Harris won the female vote age 18-44 by 11 points, 55-44. She won the female vote for the 45+ age group by 3 points, 51-48. Three fucking point difference between a rapist who is responsible for taking away their reproductive rights vs a woman for president.

And I obviously understand that those are still better numbers than what Kamala got from the men, but we needed the women of this country to save us from our own stupidity, and not enough of them stepped up to do it.

Elections have consequences.
My instinct is to point out that women, Latinos, and Muslims failed to protect themselves and to have some schadenfreude over what is coming.

But on reflection, my cohort of white men is by far the worst. It seems racist, sexist, etc. to blame others when my group shares the majority of blame.

Instead, I am going to limit my schadenfreude to Trump voters themselves and just resign myself that as a country we will cumulatively get what we asked for. The rest are simply innocent victims no matter what demographic they belong to.

Just speaking for myself in how I am trying to steer my thought process away from where it has been the last couple of weeks.

You can't possibly be serious in thinking that a deal should be cut for confirming criminals with a criminal. Who is going to honor the deal?

Furthermore, there is no way any Republican does anything other than fall in line.
Musk is prepared to subsidize primary challenges against any GQP'er who does not toe the line. Trump put the Pluto in Plutocracy.

The undervote was young people and suburban women. Jen O'Malley's 20th Century expensive ground game of door knocking and bell ringing is so 20th Century. Harris and Walz had the right instincts at first. Mega calls, podcasts, YT, IG, TikTok, WhatsApp are the influencing media platforms. This is The Way.

O'Malley was Biden's campaign manager - it was part of the deal to nominate Kamala. Huge mistake. I would have preferred James Carville, the Ragin' Cajun as campaign manager. Winning is all that matters...especially against Trump..

These are not competing ideas. They are complements.

I understand. They fucked around and unfortunately we all get to find out.

Lol at the idea of banning high fructose corn syrup. 90% of the daily diet of tons of Trump voters contains it and the use of it subsidizes the voters of nearly half of the Republican US Senators.
I wonder what Trump's base is going to do when all that junk food they love to eat either starts disappearing from the grocery store shelves, or the taste of it changes because of different ingredients? I know everyone sees them as being so brainwashed that they'll fall in line for anything, but I don't see most of his base taking their junk food changing or going away very well at all. Of course all Trump will do is just blame it all on RFK, Jr. and fire his ass on national television to stay in his base's good graces. You can already imagine their gratitude to Dear Leader when their Doritos and candy and soft drinks all return to normal afterwards.

And when hamburger costs $10 a pound because a 1/4 of the meat processing industry will have been deported or detained.

With the news of Hegseth being involved in a sexual assault scandal, that brings the total up to four, by my count, in this administration.
Hegseth
RFK
Gaetz
And of course, Mango Mussolini himself is an adjudicated rapist.

I’ll ask this again. How do we look women in the face and expect them to feel safe? How do we expect them to come forward and accuse an attacker in this climate? I’ve given serious thought about moving. If I had daughters, I’d already be gone.

I wonder how RFK Jr. and Anna Paulina are going to square this with their Supreme Leader’s nightly dinner of 2 Big Macs, 2 Filet o’ Fish, and a chocolate milkshake from that bastion of healthy dining, Chez McDonald’s.
Remember, that McDonald’s calls it a “shake” and not a “milkshake” because dairy regulations limit what can be called a “milkshake.”

So, according to McDonald’s website, they “like to keep it simple and refer to them strictly as “shakes.”

That's the luxury of being MAGA. Your reality is unique to you, and your morals and values are whatever you say they are at the time. No accountability and no matter what you do, you're always right. If someone takes issue with you on something with facts to support what they are saying, just make up your own, or dismiss them as being intolerant of other people's views.

“… Wright has been one of the industry’s loudest voices against efforts to fight climate change and could give fossil fuels a boost, including quick action to end a year-long pause on natural gas export approvals by the Biden administration.

Wright has criticized what he calls a “top-down” approach to climate by liberal and left-wing groups and said the climate movement around the world is “collapsing under its own weight.”

We've got Elon Musk out here propagating right wing narratives from sXitter user Insurrection Barbie to tens of millions of Americans while simultaneously accusing Democrats of indoctrination

I’ll never understand how the “God and guns” “fiscal conservative” “working class” people in red America could allow their party to be taken over by two billionaires, one from Manhattan and the other from South Africa. There’s a reason the charlatans who actually sold snake oil set up their shows in the same places that now vote Republican.
