Continued (from transcript of inaugural address)

"...A short time from now, we are going to be changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. And we will restore the name of a great president, William McKinley, to Mount McKinley, where it should be and where it belongs.

President McKinley made our country very rich, through tariffs and through talent. He was a natural businessman and gave Teddy Roosevelt the money for many of the great things he did, including the Panama Canal, which has foolishly been given to the country of Panama after the United States.

The United States — I mean, think of this — spent more money than ever spent on a project before and lost 38,000 lives in the building of the Panama Canal. We have been treated very badly from this foolish gift that should have never been made. And Panama’s promise to us has been broken. The purpose of our deal and the spirit of our treaty has been totally violated.

American ships are being severely overcharged and not treated fairly in any way, shape, or form. And that includes the United States Navy. And above all, China is operating the Panama Canal, and we didn’t give it to China, we gave it to Panama. And we’re taking it back.

... The United States will once again consider itself a growing nation, one that increases our wealth, expands our territory, builds our cities, raises our expectations and carries our flag into new and beautiful horizons. And we will pursue our manifest destiny into the stars, launching American astronauts to plant the stars and stripes on the planet Mars.

... In recent years our nation has suffered greatly. But we are going to bring it back and make it great again, greater than ever before. We will be a nation like no other, full of compassion, courage and exceptionalism. Our power will stop all wars and bring a new spirit of unity to a world that has been angry, violent and totally unpredictable.

America will be respected again and admired again, including by people of religion, faith and good will. We will be prosperous, we will be proud, we will be strong and we will win like never before. ..."
I know it's pointless, but there were 5000 deaths during the American phase of construction and they were almost all foreigners under contract. Not that it's at all relevant because of course he cares nothing for facts.

I hate that man so, so, so much. Every reasonable and intelligent person must.

It's not up to the USA what an international body of water is called, is it?
On our own maps, sure, but can't really dictate it to anyone else (unless they make it a requirement that you rename the Gulf of Mexico in order to get US foreign aid, I guess).

Then he's still a liar correct?
Hmmm. So one cannot change their mind?

Also, a lie, doesn't make a liar.

A good example of a liar is trump. Even republicans talk about everything he says as if it is just another lie. He meets the requirement of more than one as he lies more than once before breakfast, by the end of the day he's normally into triple figures with his lies. On rally days, he probably hits the thousands.

Thankfully those woke days are over. At least for the next 4 years.
Just because you define the term incorrectly, we will give you a break in thinking that the fight for equal rights of marginalized groups will be over under drump.

Maybe we just him for the piece of shit he is when he starts to really go after those groups with his executive orders and the SCOTUS in his back pocket.

If that happens and/or the shit hits the fan with the economy and corruption or just general stupidity and incompetence then I fully expect that most of his fan club posting here will vanish overnight.

Why stop at the Gulf of Mexico? Maybe he could sign a decree changing the Atlantic Ocean to the Trump Ocean.

Yep, the next 4 years won’t be woke but instead 4 years of asleep at the wheel.

You keep a-swervin' in my lane
And it's causing' lots of danger
I'm a-honkin' on my horn
I'm a-shootin' you the finger
I keep a-switchin' on my bright lights
But you're just too dim to know
When your swervin' on life's highway
You're runnin' someone off the road

No comments on his speech? Personally, while I liked some of the things he said, that wasn't the place to carry out a state of the union speech. It looked bad and wasn't very dignified or presidential. Of course those things don't really apply to trump much. He must be the worst public speaker to ever be potus.
Saw it eight years ago. Didn't care enough to watch it again.

Cubans too?

“President Donald Trump will sign a flurry of executive actions on immigration in his first hours in office, suspending refugee resettlement, reinstating a policy requiring migrants at the U.S. southern border to remain in Mexico while they await their court appearances and terminating a parole program that provided another legal pathway to entry for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans.

The CHNV parole program had allowed more than 530,000 migrants from the four countries to temporarily migrate to the U.S. throughout the Biden administration through a sort of “digital queue,” called the CBP One app. The app, overall, allowed more than 1 million individuals to enter by also requesting immigration appointments electronically at the U.S. southern border with Mexico. The app was created in an attempt to dissuade migrants from arriving in person at the border for processing. …”
