So i realize this is random, but thread title made me think this is the place...

My kid was watching Hamiton again for the zillionth time, and got to the "George Washington's Going Home" song.

I just started singing "Donald Trump is going to Hell-el-el" in my head, then under my breath, then louder -- to point where my wife heard and joined, and then my kid too.

Glad the orange bastard knows it too

“… Still, nearly a year into his second term, Americans see Mr. Trump less than they used to, according to a New York Times analysis of his schedule. Mr. Trump has fewer public events on his schedule and is traveling domestically much less than he did by this point during his first year in office, in 2017, although he is taking more foreign trips.

He also keeps a shorter public schedule than he used to. Most of his public appearances fall between noon and 5 p.m., on average.

And when he is in public, occasionally, his battery shows signs of wear.

… He does not get regular exercise, in part because he has a long-held theory that people are born with a finite amount of energy and that vigorous activity can deplete that reserve, like a battery. He enjoys red meat and is known to eat McDonald’s by the sackful.

… Mr. Trump frequently muses about the effectiveness of weight-loss drugs like Ozempic — he refers to them as the “fat drug” — and talks about people he knows who have taken the medications, but his physician has not said if he takes one of the drugs himself.…”

I think Democrats should collectively message how low energy Trump has become. They might trigger some nasty short term repercussions but I do not think he has the mind anymore to regulate his most absurd proclamations and that works in the favor of democracy. Or so I suspect. That last screed is the raving of a genuinely crazed person and the fact his docs had him do another cognitive test and get an MRI is very concerning. I suspect it will come out in years down the road that those close to him knew intimately of the dementia and there was a conspiracy between doctors and apparatchiks to keep it from Trump and the public.

Have you noticed how in many of his photo ops, St. Donald of Mar-a-Lago is sitting and how often his right hand is covering his left hand and how incoherent he is. IIRC, all three of these are symtoms of Black Syphilis. That's the genetically engineered and incurable stain that the Russians infected the South Vietnamese hookers with to gut the US forces in Vietnam the late 1960's. That's why there were so many MIA's. Have the Russians once again struck at the very heart of America? Just asking questions.

I spend a lot of time with several octogenarians. This is a familiar look of sudden nodding off. So it is not necessarily an indication of anything unusual for this age. Biden certainly suffered from waking slack jaw.

On this one I'll be fair and say that the lesson here is that maybe we shouldn't be electing men in their late 70s to early 80s to the nation's highest office. I'm sure that somebody will point out some leader who was great at that age, but even so it's still a rarity, and we generally just need younger and more dynamic leadership. And that was true with Biden as well. Still not a good look at all for Dear Leader, though.

Not just highest office. Retirement from any public service related job should be mandatory at 70. Beyond that age, the person is just too far disconnected from too large of a majority of their constituents to ever be effective in the job. I know that is painful for people to hear, but it is true. I think people who are older than that can make fantastic contributions as advisors and staffers...but not as the actual leadership.
