After a 10 hour flight to Houston I had to stand in a line that reached to the parking lot for two hours. I was planning to drive from Santiago to Punto Arenas in the spring- I think I'll just hang out in the Brushies.

Nope. It was 2 hours and 45 mins this morning in TSA Precheck at 8 AM when I was flying from ATL to DFW. And I already posted two pictures of ICE agents in ATL in this very thread above standing around with their thumbs up their asses or on their cell phones. Is there seriously no bottom to the ridiculous bullshit you'll believe?

If it's down to 40 minutes this afternoon, it's because Tuesday afternoons, along with Wednesdays and Saturdays, are the "slowest" times of the week for air travel, not because "ICE is helping out."

Delta has specifically called all of their agents in for overtime work to assist TSA. They are the folks who are most likely making any difference. It has been made clear that ICE is performing no screening actions. That was also verified by @CFordUNC

Furthermore, several colleagues of mine who fly regularly through there have indicated that they are serving all passengers through the TSA entry normally reserved for International travelers and that is almost entirely staffed by Delta agents being overseen by TSA supervisors.

All the non screening work of the TSA - crowd control, security, guys that yell instructions.

Almost all the people in line interviewed by CNN were thrilled ICE was there reducing the wait time.

Long term solution is to privatize TSA security at ATL like SF did at their airport.
