MTG is slowly drifting away from core MAGA - evolving into a right wing populist, isolationist, anti-Israel zealot to the right of MAGA. She's going to be trouble as Trump heads into lame duck status.
I'm sure all the behind-the-scene conversations between the Dem lawmakers are calm, collected and unified. No question that the pressure is building on both sides as we approach Nov 1st with unpaid workers, SNAP benefits ending and ACA open enrollment. That's why we should open up the government with a clean CR and negotiate the ACA subsidies. Trump said he's willing to participate in those negotiations and Thune has promised a vote on it.
