Got it. I was thinking after last season that McDuffie would be moving into the rotation; guess we prefer him in the super-reliever role?

Also will be interesting to see how Boaz does. He started off hot last season then faded fast.

fortunately they're all familiar names, lol (though I don't know how much you've followed the program generally).

Jason DeCaro, Ryan Lynch, and Folger Boaz should be the weekend starters. Forbes thinks DeCaro is due for a velo jump this spring just based on the way his body has matured and says his slider and curve have improved their metrics. Caught a glimpse of Boaz in the DBAP exhibition vs State and he looks a lot stronger than he did most of his appearances last year. He's got a cutter in his arsenal now that should help the fastball and I think starting is a better role for him than being the sole lefty out of the pen. IMO all three of them have top-50 pick upside this July.

And then Walker McDuffie and Matthew Matthijs should be the top two relievers, with plenty of depth behind them.

I’ve not been to a UNC Baseball game in years. How hard is it to get single-game tickets?
you can usually all but walk into a regular season game and get decent seats. unfortunately, i'm trying to get into the Sunday game vs ECU (wife and I will be in Chapel Hill for the Monday night bball game vs Louisville), and ECU fans travel in-state really well - thus my want to buy in advance, lol

Yes, will be very good this year. I have made plans to go to Omaha with or without the Heels.
Thats always a good plan. The CWS is the best event in college sports in my opinion and that includes football playoffs (have been to 3 of those games including a national title) and the Final 4 (done 4 of those).

Thanks, y'all, for the info!
One note on the regular season. The last 2 years pretty much every Saturday ACC game has been a sellout. Friday and Sunday are a bit more manageable. Always check with me. Like I said, I have 6 and there are only 4 of us. We rarely use them all and often are using none because it's tough to make every game.

Thank you!

Thanks dude! It would be April 4th and there would be 3 of us - and if it doesn't work for you I have no issue just buying tickets
You've got them. We are taking our moms on a cruise in South America that week because it is Spring Break for Wake County Schools. We won't be here. You'll have to remind me once the tickets are in my account though. They haven't issued them.

I really appreciate it - I'll reach out to you when we get closer to that date

I'm really excited about going to a game this season and since I'm a cubs fan I ordered a Cubs Michael Busch jersey and it's the alternate jersey they wear that is very close to Carolina Blue

I think people would say those sorts of things about any team where the core players come, do well in the classroom, dont get into trouble outside of the classroom, volunteer often and generously in the community, and the roster stays consistent year after year. I believe most people who say those things simply are reflecting that UNC baseball represents to them what they are missing about the other college sports where they feel no carryover connection at all to the roster year to year. Fall in love with a Carolina baseball freshman (like Gavin Gallagher hitting a walk off grand slam or Walker McDuffie and his glasses) and you see that kid another 2 years guaranteed. They are a family. Our baseball program right now is as close to what Coach Smith wanted and built as anything we have ever had on campus.
I hadn’t been able to quite put my finger on my I had been enjoying baseball so much these past 3-4 years. But I think this is why. Getting to go out and support guys you’ve watched grow up for 3-4 years is different. Can’t wait for this season.
