Makes sense , as long as payrolls are burgeoning, to enter the portal every year.
I do wonder how sustainable all this is in the long run. Most schools are not going to be able to keep up with this escalating bidding war in the long run. And there is a certain level of disgust with universities spending all this money on a few sports while at the same time many of them are eliminating whole academic programs and departments, especially in the humanities and liberal arts, in the name of "saving money." I realize the money is coming from separate sources, but it's still pretty disgusting to see, imo.

And now -even UNC-is spending millions more a year than they bring in...how long does Finance Bro chancellor let that slide???

And Kayden shot the 3 at a .244 clip. No thanks.
Want to keep his brother committed? That may be involved. Syracuse fans seem hopeful they could get Kayden and lure Dylan to recommit from UNC and join his brother to play for Syracuse.

Syracuse just hired Penn State assistant coach who recruited Kayden to join the Cuse staff.

Honestly, maybe you don’t and opt for a veteran guard and bring back Dixon

The real payoff with Mingo seems like it will come in year 2-3 and we all know how that has gone lately

Malone might appreciate the defensive capabilities though, so who knows

Fair …

6’5, can shoot it, can play on/off ball. He’s going to command a premium for sure

People acting like he wouldn’t be much of a loss are nuts
This past season made me very excited about the prospect of having Dixon in the future, as long as we didn’t generally rely on him for PG duties. But the good thing is, he’s capable of running the point if we absolutely need it in certain situations. But where I really like him is as a shooter. He showed signs of becoming an elite shooter. He’a also capable of driving to the hoop where he can either finish or kick out.

I think I’d prefer 0 Mingos to 2 Mingos. Better ways to use those funds.
