UNC basketball 2026 transfer portal

Tom Haberstroh was on the Bomani Jones podcast this week. Tom is a Wake Forest alum and said he believes (or fears) Juke Harris-Wake's Best player last year who is in the portal, 6'7" guard who scored almost 22 PPG this season-will wind up in Chapel Hill this year despite getting serious attention from Michigan.

Man I loved the idea of Luka but it never looked like it was going to translate to the college game for whatever reason. You can tell he’s a skilled player. Think he’s just not quite athletic enough. I’ll be really curious to see where he lands and if he ends up being a legitimate contributor on a good team.
 
So entering the portal is free. You enter, you get to hear offers, see if you generate any interest. And then if the hoped-for interest isn't there, you can come back.

Strikes me as likely what Jaydon Young did. Not finding appreciable NIL money, he probably returned to accept UNC's deal.

I wonder if Luka is doing that. On the other hand, he might be seeing all the wings being recruited and can read the writing on the wall.

I sure hope... feels like Michigan is getting everyone they want lately

Michigan with Juke wouldn't be fair, again
