UNC basketball 2026 transfer portal

This raises an interesting question -- where are these evaluations coming from? I'm guessing that most of our info on portal entries was compiled when HD was still the coach. The staff probably did it, and we retained the staff. But what is the system we are trying to fit players into?

Malone knows far better than me, of course. I've not watched film on this guy. I just wince at seeing guys with multiple years of 3 point shooting beneath 30%. I'm just tired of it, as a fan. Exhausted. Almost every year, it's the same story -- we've got a guard who can't shoot, and that bottles up the offense. And almost every year, outside shooting is our weakness and downfall. It's not that we haven't had good shooters (though we've had fewer than I'd like) -- it's that we have too many non-shooters.
I’ll just be happy if he can dribble conpetently and not get picked at midcourt for a pick 6 like regularly happened with Dixon.

Man, I know scoring has been going up but that sounds ridiculous. Dunks should never be worth more than 2. 3 at the most.

I didn't follow the team very closely this year but it always seemed to me that Dixon was being graded on a low curve. As in, he was better than Evans and so that meant he was pretty good. When he really wasn't.

As I've said before, I don't know if his transfer is a big loss. People say that he could develop into a good shooting guard and that's fine -- I don't want to argue about that here. But in terms of actual production last year (and expected production this year), he wasn't good.

Clearly not. Either way, that's not how you pose with a bass.
One of the many, many awkward things about Hubert. The picture would get posted when Hubert got a recruit. Somewhat ironically as everyone realized how dorky it looked. So the Malone spoof is making fun of that.

yeah, i caught myself doing this several times last year. gave dixon and trimble and basically every guard more leeway than i would normally because at least they were better than kyan evans.

He was 39.7 3FG%. His 108.8 ORtg was higher than Brown's 108.1.

It's all about Veesaar now. If he comes back, we have a roster capable of contending (though still some reserve pieces to fill in). If he doesn't come back, it's difficult to see us contending.

Brown is great at attacking the paint, but at his size, he's going to have to demonstrate much improved shooting and overall offensive efficiency to have a chance at being a 1st round pick.

Dropping his usage rate from where it was at Utah will likely help. But he's never been even an average outside shooter in his college career.
