Yikes. Not sure how he can stay another season after reading this. This is really bad. But considering how he was hired and who wanted to hire him, it's not surprising it's been a mess.

For reals. Fuck this fucking twat. Get him TF out of here tomorrow. Bunting was a legend compared to this wanker.

Why would anyone need viagra if doing a hot 24 yr old, homie?

I have a pretty great source at UNC and hearing there's a bunch going down. I think the BB experience will be very short lived.
He’s 73 and fat and out-of-shape. He’s been as limp-dicked as Trump for YEARS without medical supplements.

The buyout isn't that bad. It is $20 million after this year, and it does not need to be paid all at once. We were going to pay that money anyway, so the only additional cost is what we need to pay the new staff, which we likely could get much cheaper than what we are paying Bill. Maybe Pryer can fork over the money since he was the one who got us into the situation.

Texas A&M paid $80 million to make Jimbo go away. We are talking about building a $1 billion arena on North Campus. I am sure we can find some couch cushions somewhere with us enough money to get out of this mess.
Neither Preyer nor Lee Roberts nor the other BOT members are going to admit they fucked up. They also aren’t paying for their fuck-up.

Lee Roberts and some idiots on the BOT are talking about building a $1 billion arena on a non-existent North Campus. A stupid fucking idea.

I've kept quiet since my initial comments on Saturday evening where I stated it was illogical to throw in the towel on the BB era so soon. The more I read the comments here and on Premium, and reports from insiders I know, the more I am shifting towards y'alls position that UNC needs to end sever ties with BB/Lombardi and staff. More and more information has surfaced since then about BB's lack of communication with the players, the lack of player access to the top floor at KFC, the disorganization of practice notices, dressing only 50+ players for a home game, notes from the locker room on Saturday and missing a day of practice to head to Nantucket for a romantic fall weekend. I also hate the blackout he's put on New England preventing our communication staff from boasting about Maye on social media. God, that's stupid.

I'm still open to the argument that we give BB the rest of the season to see if he can achieve a modest course correction and do a hard reevaluation after the season. I'm also now open to cutting bait now if the PTB determine that is in the best interest of the University and athletic department.

I was a big supporter of hiring BB - thinking it would launch UNC into big time football - so this is a bit of a hard pill to swallow.
He has a bye week.

Team better look like it’s well-coached on October 18th. It can get its ass kicked and still look well-coached.

Relevant from that link...

Last week UNC Chancellor Lee Roberts preached patience at a Board of Trustees meeting before the Clemson loss.

"It's not the kind of thing that we judge after four games or even after one season,”Roberts said. ”These things take time. We last won the conference championship in 1980, and so we have significant work to do, significant investment to make to get the program where we want it to be."

”A minimum level of patience is required for any level of future success,” said UNC-Chapel Hill Board of Trustees chair Malcolm Turner, a former athletics director at Vanderbilt. ”I appreciate the need and desire for instant gratification, but it takes time to create success."

Again, you think that sounds like a Chancellor & BOT who are going to embarrass themselves by admitting this didn't work in 1 season or less?
Last thing I want see or hear is an Art Pope d00kie say is “we” when it comes to himself and UNC.

Lee Roberts cares far more about himself and Trumplican politics than he does UNC (or Duke).

I know we haven’t moved on to the coach search portion of the UNC football cycle, but let me throw this out there -

We hired an athletic director from NASCAR and Joe Gibbs is only a decade older than Mack and Belichick.*

*John Preyer doesn’t read this board, does he?

It won’t. I can 100% promise you we will get anally probed by Cal in two weeks. I cancelled my trip because I’m not a masochist.

It’s a good trip regardless of the game. Made it in 2018 staying in SF and spending time in Napa in the days following the game. Still, I get where you’re coming from.

The WRAL article makes it clear that Bill isn't going anywhere, sadly.
He's not going to leave on his own, he's making a ton of money for not much work, has gained employment for his sons and good buddies, and he's too damn stubborn to ever admit that he's out of his depth as a college coach. Like Mack he'll only leave if he's forced. And the people who could force him to leave aren't about to admit to making a mistake either, as they're Trumpers who never admit to making mistakes (it's a sign of weakness, you see) and who know that if they fire Belichick it will be admission that they screwed up and may lose them power within the BOT and university. So we're almost certainly stuck with him for a couple of seasons at least, no matter how bad this gets. We could likely lose every game the rest of the way and he will almost certainly still be back next year.

Not sure if this has been posted yet or not but this is a brutally honest evaluation of the current shitshow we have on our hands in Chapel Hill. Belichick doesn't give a shit about the University or its football program or anything that makes this place special. He is a grifting, scamming, con-artist shyster second only to that useless POS whom he hired to be his GM. This is all an enormous grift designed to line the pockets of the Belichick's and the Lombardi's, and the University of North Carolina was the only school in the country stupid enough, or pathetically and humiliatingly desperate enough, to allow it to happen on our campus.

I'm probably most envious of dook football making great coaching hire after hire, and we fumble every single opportunity because we love flash over substance.
Yep. Duke did it twice in a row, with Mike Elko and now Manny Diaz, and that's not even counting David Cutcliffe before them, who was obviously a great hire. I love UNC with all of my heart but I really resent how we are obsessed with style over substance, "to seem rather than to be." It's never enough for UNC to just hire a no-nonsense, non-flashy, roll-up-the-sleeves-and-just-go-to-work kind of coach for our football program. We're so pathetically desperate to win the press conference and the headlines instead of winning games on the football field.

Your politicians of choice would all gleefully proclaim those places to be rotting and festering hellholes. Would you contradict them?
Yes, and I did by so my post. I have conversations with my friends all the time about my enjoyment of visiting California. Admittedly Fox News goes a bit far in its depiction of SF as a hellscape. The right's critique of SF, however, is not completely without merit. Things did go a bit off the rails with the last DA (Boudin) - who was recalled and the last mayor. SF residents did a course correction for more law and order with the elections of Lurie (mayor) and Jenkins (DA).
