I generally agree with you in that I don’t care who he is banging as long as he wins football games, but I think it’s a very reasonable question to ask whether he is fully focused on being the University of North Carolina head football coach. It’s also reasonable to question, IMO, the wisdom of firing one 73 year old football coach who had long lost his fastball, in favor of hiring another 73-year-old football coach who has lost his fastball; who
is an apparent romantic relationship with someone five decades his junior who seems to be more and more of a growing sideshow/distraction; and who hired both of his sons as coaches and one of his best friends as GM who in turn hired his own son to be quarterbacks coach.
All I’m saying is that there are plenty of reasons to question whether or not this whole thing is going to go down spectacularly badly. I’m certainly not hoping that it goes down spectacular really badly. In fact, I’d want nothing more than for UNC to be elite in football, and for it to be Bill Belichick who leads us there. But there are tons of flashing red warning signs to me and apparently to a lot of other folks as well.
