Andrew Jones on Tar Heels 247 reporting that, per sources inside the program, an injured player had his access to the facilty removed right before fall camp started, and he was told he could come back in a year but had to do rehab on his own, and that he was no longer a part of the program since he could not help the team on the field this fall.

That sounds like it violates the guaranteed four year scholarship rule of the ACC, which might provide cause for a termination.

Keep digging Andrew.

Bastards.

I’m out.

Media isn't after BB. They are after UNC. going to get their scalp. Got us in circular firing squad.

Let's say we send Belichick packing during this bye week - who coaches the rest of the season? I saw chansky advocating for reaching out to Jeff Saturday to be interrum head coach
I don't think it's going to happen, but if Belichick were to be fired mid-season I'm not sure any replacement coach could do any worse than they already are. Right now we're looking at 2-10 or 3-9, and practically any replacement would at least get that number of wins. But he's not going to be let go in the middle of the year. We'll have to suffer through this season at least, and given the reluctance of the Trumpers running the university to admit to making a huge mistake in hiring him, we may well have to suffer through a second season of Bumbling Belichick & his little sweetie pie. What a PR nightmare and black eye for UNC athletics this is becoming.

Lombardi and Belichick are handing them loaded gun after loaded gun - you can hardly expect them to not fire the bullets.
Sideline pass. Brutal. BB is being taken down from the inside. Maybe he deserves it. But this is media getting even.

But hiring BB and his boys and his granddaughter girlfriend has made it easy for them to do so. Not many ways to defend this hire, as it's rapidly becoming an epic disaster.

Maybe. Or maybe a documentary that will be traumatic for everyone involved, and that has no winners, only losers, is not worth finishing.

Who wants to see a documentary about this season for UNC? UNC fans? I would stay the fuck away from that thing with a ten foot pole. Why do I want to relive the trauma? Who would this documentary be for?
State fans.

You are so exhausting dude lol. This is not the fake news media making up nonsense out of thin air to make UNC look bad. This is a high profile experiment going horribly sideways and they are simply reporting what’s happening. If you don’t like what you’re seeing or hearing then blame Belichick and the people that hired him.

Don't think the media are the ones who suspended the assistant coach for a sideline pass - pretty sure that would be our compliance people who read the media story and realized that it disclosed on its face an NCAA violation.

Just exhibit 100 of how when Belichick and Lombardi said "run UNC like an NFL franchise" they meant "we have no interest in learning about college football's structure or rules and intend to do whatever the hell we want without paying attention to anyone or anybody."

lol, I think you're reaching a bit here. I've never been GOP or conservative in any way, shape, or form but I largely agree with cford. Though personally I think what mostly explains the Belichick and kids things is that Belichick truly believes, after his long career, that it doesn't matter who his assistant coaches are as long as they just do what he tells them to.
So you're not agreeing with cford as to BB's motivations.

Look, I don't know why BB is doing what he's doing. It's just a big leap to assume it's graft.

I'll pull this tiny snippet from Andrew Jones' reporting:

"It's much worse behind the scenes than what we all see publicly. Families are highly upset. Players don't respect the head coach for many reasons, some of which are obvious; the vibe is completely dead in the KFC; and the level of arrogance by the leaders in the program has turned off so many people at the university and families."

@heel79 those former players you talked with may not be as plugged in as you think.

That seems far-fetched.
