Of course. BB has pissed off people and they are fueling an eager media. What I said yesterday and got shouted down. I say again. I don't know. But I know how the sausage is made and how easy it is for a few disgruntled insiders to manipulate willing media. I will say again. If half the Ollie stuff is true fire him now. But instead of accepting resignation it appears UNC heard enough to find the truth.

What many people aren't thinking about is that if he stays at coach we're just going to continue getting clobbered in games, the locker room situation is just going to continue to get worse, and more leaks to the media are going to keep coming that will paint Belichick and the staff and the school in the worst possible light. So all this bad publicity is going to continue as long as he's the coach. So this isn't something that's going to just blow over and go away.
What worries me is that they'll try and make Bubba and the athletic department the fall guy for their own stupidity and bad judgment. They wouldn't hesitate to throw Bubba or anyone else under the bus to save their own asses.
This is what I tried to say yesterday and there could still be big issues. Obviously our play is one. But it does not take a lot to dupe a willing press into running these non sourced stories. I said that yesterday and of course was shouted down. This statement is not a kiss if death. This is UNC officials, IMO, saying we will find the truth and not trust unsourced stuff. Some of what Ollie said is over too and made me think, if true, BB is having a breakdown. He supposedly offered to leave.
Exactly. The only reason they would keep him is because Roberts and the BOT can't admit they were wrong for wanting to hire him and going around Bubba to do it. The longer they keep him the longer it is going to take to get someone else in to right the ship.

No, I'm not wrong. If we continue losing - and I have yet to see any indications that we're going to turn things around anytime soon - then the bad publicity will continue. I know you want nothing more than to be right about the media people you hate being wrong on this issue, but I don't see us winning many more games this season, and it seems clear that something negative is going on with the program, even if it's not as bad as some reports today have made it out to be. This bad publicity isn't going away anytime soon for a variety of reasons.
What has been reported by your hated local media has been proven false? I haven’t read all the local stuff today since it’s been chaos. The article yesterday seems proven true since we suspended the coach for some of the stuff reported.
Meh, anyone that even remotely follows the team close enough to notice whether people are trying to throw Bubba under the bus would also already know all of the details of how the hire happened in the first place. That was dissected to the point that Preyer and co. will have to eat it all at some point, even if they try their hardest to deflect blame.
Unfortunately he has won six super bowls and was widely regarded as one of the greatest coaches in footbal history. So he's going to get the benefit of every doubt until it's blatantly obvious he's a complete failure. The levy created by all his prior success has broken and that's why it seems so sudden, even though in hidsight this was a shitshow from day one.
I haven't said proven false. Others are saying it is made up. I don't know. What I have said, and intimated it yesterday, is be wary when the wral anchor breaks a story. That is laughable. I would have punched BB when Ollie teets came out but now, after Ollie said BB brought up his own buyout, there is joint release of support. Seems clear to me that UNC is prepared to rebut much of what is out there. We will see. But we should all hope wral and N&O were complicit..we can fire BB later if he doesn't win.
There are so many things going on in the rumor mill and on the field which seem like legit problems, but this still doesn't seem like one of them. People are confusing correlation and causation with regard to BB's decision to date Jordon and how the team is faring. "Do you job" means do your DAY job. Player's day job is working out, eating well, studying, practicing hard. But after work they can do what they want as long as it isn't disgraceful, immoral, unethical, illegal. There is no reason that after BB's coaching day-job is over he can't spend it with a smart, confident, attractive, sexy, ex-cheerleader.
