I am rooting for the kids. And they’ve been done a huge disservice by Lee Roberts, Jon Preyer, Bill Bellichick, and Mike Lombardi. Those are the 4 people most responsible for this mess. At this point, we can’t replace the chancellor, but we can fix the last 2 and that is the only way forward for them to have success.

Ah okay, that makes sense. I mean what better way to do right by the kids than making them deal with one Michael Lombardi, who by all accounts is an extremely pleasant person and I’m sure is treating them with the utmost respect.

they arent kids they are paid professionals and coaches are uber crazy paid professionals that i will not let slide under any circumstance. we are one of the worst fbs teams in the country and paying our staff $20 million a year which ranks in the top 10. you are a fool if you give them any leeway at all with the results they have given us......a very very blind fool.

Yep. I'm at every home game with my son, my brother-in-law, and my father-in-law. We're cheering like crazy for the players on the field. I hope for success for all of them. And I'm very frustrated with the leadership and coaching because I don't think they're getting the best opportunity for that under this regime.
 
I get heel79's point. It's odd that folks want BB and UNC to succeed, yet only focus on the negatives and (seemingly) ignore the positives. Not that it's wrong, or you're any less of a fan, just odd.

The root of the problem - at UNC but more broadly across our society, government and institutions - is that power has accrued to a narrow swath of the population - essentially a gaggle of golf buddies occupying a rarefied bubble of narcissism, greed, and antipathy for those outside the bubble.

I think that folks want UNC to succeed, I don't know that a lot of us are really concerned with Belichick's success except that, for the moment, it is tied directly to UNC's success.

And once someone comes to the conclusion that Belichick isn't likely to help UNC succeed, then it makes sense that those folks would want Belichick's time at UNC to end as soon as possible and would welcome news that suggests that might happen sooner rather than later.

I really don’t think it’s that odd. We want UNC to be successful, we’re just at the point that we don’t think it’s possible under Belichick.

Yes, flipping a 4* recruit is always a good thing. In a vacuum though one recruiting win like that isn’t going to change our big picture feeling about the program.
 
At this point I accept the PR that Coach wil be here all season and next season I missed the Clemson game as there was a Bluegrass Fesival in Rawlee I attended. I will not stay up till1:30 a.m. Saturday to watch this weeks game
That means I will go over well over amonth w/t watching ,going to or listening to a game on the radio. Last time that happened was 45 years ago

I want UNC to succeed. I personally believe that we will not succeed until we get rid of the arrogant, clueless, nepotism-ridden Belichick regime.
