Culliver wasn't really 2-deep IMO. Culliver didn't see the field the second half of the season and it wasn't due to injury.

And once Dixon returned i'd say Conley wasn't second-string - he didn't play much at all. Jalon was the first corner off the bench the second half of the yr, but if both Dixon and Allen went out it would probably be Patterson and Jalon out there as the backups.

Pretty good scoop by Greg Barnes.
Lopez broke his leg against state. UNC supposedly has interest in Harvard qb who hit portal. Kitchens is out. When is uncertain. Demon June is back. Looks like Shipp is too.
Really interesting in Baker. Sources say staff not high in him but there is no effort to push him out and he likes CH.

Been reading for a couple of years from the Charlotte area fans that Baker is a stud.. I believe them!

It's been 11 days since our football season ended. Its been 18 days since we knew the dook game would be the end of our season. Why is Freddie Kitchens still our OC?

I would say that it’s frustrating that we haven’t officially announced it so that we could get a move on hiring a proven college player caller, but it doesn’t really matter. Belichick is probably just going to hire some random NFL retread that no one else wants anyway, so no real need to rush. We all saw how well it worked out for them last season when they dragged their feet like this putting a staff together.

Have you seen how Belichick operates? Does he strike you as the kind of person that releases internal information? We didn't announce any assistant hiring until March of this year. I have no reason to believe that Bill is going to voluntarily announce a coaching change right now. He may well wait to announce anything until the new coach is actually here, perhaps with other coaches.
 
A good reason to announce the new OC (if we’re going to have one), is it should help recruit a good QB and offensive linemen. Tell the new OC he can bring his own offensive coaching staff, especially the OL coach and QB coach.

  • they’ve fired kitchens and
  • hired another OC
  • Telling recruits about the new OC
and none one has leaked. None of the recruits, no one in the building, no current player???
Come on man. I know BB is notoriously tight-lipped. But, even so, the entire country knows when his girl friend passes gas. There’s no way they’re keeping the firing/hitting of the OC a secret.
