I sincerely hope we do as well, but does anyone really believe that Mack will have our guys either prepared or fired up for next week? I mean, his track record so far doesn't provide much optimism.

I was at the game. It was terrible. As inept an offensive performance you will ever see.

We were sitting 15 rows behind the UNC sideline. Zero energy the entire game. Less than zero. Absolutely pathetic. The team did not want to be there.

Now stuck in traffic…Thanks Biden
 
You can count on at least 4 games a year under Mack 2.0 where the team and coaches are just going thru the motions. No heart, passion or toughness. Just another week where Mack stole another $100k.

Mack is gone, but i have zero confidence that Bubba has the brains or heart to completely clean house in our FB program
 
It would help us to be able to appreciate Mack on his way out if he'd just announce he's leaving.

If he tries to stay, he's going to end up in a situation where folks feel the need to let him know he has to go.

I remember seeing that in Bunting's last year.
 
For over 100 years we have been a 7-5 football program ( 745-569-54 ) If we beat ncst we match our average
In the last 90 years we have finished in the top 25 seventeen times for an average of once time every 5 years
In the last 90 years we have finished in the top 10 seven times
In the last 110 years we have won 10 or 11 games 8 times or once every 14 years. last top 10 finish was 27 years ago
In the last 100years we have had 18 head coaches

That history is why I stopped sitting in the pumpkin patch waiting for the Great Pumpkin to arrive.

and that is why a successful season for me is one where we have a winning record, go to a bowl , and beat our in state rivals.

The guy you’re responding to has the most pathetic mentality possible about our football program. Our recruiting class is behind Ga State and ECU, we just got blasted by 20 points by fricking Boston College’s backup QB, and he genuinely believes that’s perfectly acceptable. Earlier in the season he suggested that when Mack retires that UNC should pay him a few million a year to still be the face of the program in an admin capacity or something lol.

Actually, I suggested he be given an administrative role as an incentive to step down as head coach. And I beg to differ with your characterization of my "mentality".

I have been a fan for over 50 years and delight in every victory an I am disappointed with every defeat. There are many fans who are never satisfied with the team even when they win. Less than a 10 win season isn't good enough. Going to a minor bowl is grounds for firing a coach.

It's those fans I pity. They are a miserable lot who never have and will never be happy with UNC football unless the football program reaches Georgia/Alabama/Ohio State heights.

Perfect example was the 2020 season . We finished in 18th in the country with an 8-4 season and all you could hear from many "fans" was "coulda, woulda, shoulda "

or the 9-5 2022 season...FIRE MACK BROWN !!!
or the 8-5 2023 season... I REALLY MEAN IT ! FIRE MACK BROWN !!!!!!
