Do what now? You think we could "very easily" go 0-8 in the ACC? Dude....

We are clearly not going to agree on this and that's fine, but I cannot fathom how anyone can look at our schedule, and look at the teams that will be lining up across from us, and look at the way we've recruited this roster versus how most of those teams have recruited their rosters, and think that going 9-3 is some earth-shattering accomplishment.

Before the season even kicked off, we were 3-0. At this very juncture in the season, here in week 3, you know which team on our schedule looks to be the hardest remaining game? Boston College. BOSTON COLLEGE! You really, truly don't think that we should expect to win at least 6 of the remaining 9 games on our schedule? If the answer is no, that's fine, but it just means that you have bought hook, line, and sinker into Mack's "8 wins is pretty good around here" horseshit.
Bump for reevaluation.

Mack’s post-game BS was more annoying than it normally is.

“Your focus has to be greater than your distractions,” or some such BS.

“We have to get better…..”

Embrace the suck apparently. Nice record Mac some of the best and a lot more of the worst. Record breaking no doubt.
Let's go get a young coach and ride or die. We're set back so far now that we have once again like a seven year rebuild. I'm still optimistic but man what a sad situation.

More like 14+13+6=33 games too late.

Mack should have retired after Sam’s junior season.
That is the only way the Mack hire would have ever made any sense. Stabilize the recruiting and general state of the program for 2-3 years max, then hire an actual coach.

The fact that we’re on year 6 of this shit is asinine but hilariously on brand for us.

I’m sadly certain that Mack will coach out the season AND make UNC fire him - meaning UNC/Rams Club/boosters pay whatever is his buyout.

He’s got a lifetime contract for producing at the level of Fedora. Terrible

We’ve all seen this before. Many, many times.
UNC's defense has effectively been AWOL for over a decade now. The good seasons we've had under Fedora and Mack have basically consisted of having offenses that are good enough to usually outscore most of our opponents to get us to a winning record. And even those seasons usually ended in disappointment in bowl games or ACC championship games as formidable opponents were able to slow down our offense while cutting through our defenses like a hot knife through butter. Most of our defenses for the past decade or more couldn't stop or even slow down a good high school offense. It's like watching an old Keystone Kops movie in real time.

We will not beat State.
I think Doeren has Mack's number. Doeren knows very well that his most important game each season is the UNC game, and that his job security depends on consistently beating UNC. And so he makes sure that no matter how mediocre State is the rest of the season that the Wolpfackers are ready and fired up to play and beat UNC, and they invariably play their best game of the season against us. It wouldn't surprise me if Doeren starts planning for the UNC game at the start of the season. And meanwhile Mack seems to treat the State game as just another game on the schedule and dozes through the game and happily shakes Doeren's hand after Dave hands him his ass yet again. And when Doeren plays to his State base by insulting and ridiculing UNC's football program Mack's only response is to cry and whine at press conferences about how undignified and mean they are. Until UNC gets a coach who is as fired up for the rivalry as Doeren is we'll likely continue losing most years to them, imo.
