The wild thing is this isn't even a good Duke team compared to the ones that Elko had and a few that Cutcliffe had, but Diaz has them playing hard and getting the most out of them. The only game on their schedule remaining in which they'll be very solid underdogs is against Miami.

One step closer to Mack being fired. I’ve been saying for a while that we’re going nowhere until Mack is gone, so might as well hasten the process.

Ok. Be happy with Manny -- far be it for me to rain on your 5-0 parade. I think he is a HUGE downgrade from Elko. But he is world's better than Mack, so you've got that.

Can't say I'm surprised that we lost today. A team that gives up 70 points (53 in the first half!) to freaking James Madison (and I don't care how good they were last season) isn't going to win very many games against almost any P5 opponent. People have already analyzed the weaknesses of Mack's coaching and the fact that our program is soft as tissue paper ad nauseam, so I'm not going to analyze those criticisms again. Just ready for Mack to retire and for UNC (hopefully) to make the right football coaching hire for once. Mack no doubt loves UNC and he did some great things in turning the program around in his first stint here in the 90s and he has improved our recruiting since he returned, but he should have retired with some dignity at the end of last season, imo. Now he's going to end his coaching career and leave with a losing record and more or less be forced out, but a good deal of that is on him for not realizing earlier that it was time to go.

CFord - Apology accepted. I was waiting to see if you would catch on and glad you did. Maybe tone it down next time or take a minute before you post. I have a very dry sense of humor and was hoping the joke would be seen as such. And for the record, as one of the few posters on this board with an actual cunt, I'm sure you are correct, but no need to point it out.

I'm not happy with Manny. But after the last two years of screwing we took in this rivalry game i'll take the deserved win and the fact that fake ass Mac's last football game in this league was a loss, to Duke. The same way that MJ's last ACC game was a loss to Duke. And on that last point MJ told me personally that is one thing he can never get back, and it bothers him. And after that, he ran the table on me in billiards

Appreciate the grace. I'm certain that it just caught me in a moment of being in a sour mood from the loss. It wasn't that it was poor humor or anything on your part- it's that it is difficult sometimes to interpret humor/tone on a message board, and especially since I did not have the context of knowing that someone else made that equivocation for real on another thread.

And you need to put your big girl panties on and accept the apology with some modicum of grace. Clearly he didn't know the context and the comment is suuuuuuuuper shitty without that context.

CFord is the absolute best among us at owning a mistake.

CFord had a knee-jerk reaction and apologized and I accepted that apology and gave some advice. You don't see apologies very often and it meant something to me. I truly appreciate it.

He said "appreciate the grace" in response to me so I don't know where this is coming from. I do know that I'm so fucking sick and tired of insults being thrown out by men using words that relate to being female as a weakness.

Yeah, I will very truly, very sincerely say that I did not, and do not, intend to demean women. I totally acknowledge and recognize why the word cunt might offend women. I do get it, and I will absolutely refrain from using that word ever again on this board if I'm asked to do so. I should probably just refrain from doing so even if I'm not explicitly asked to refrain from using it. In my ever so slight defense, I use that word just as interchangeably as I would call someone any other insulting adjective, without any thought whatsoever as to it being a way to insult or demean women.
