I don't think of Curry the same way that I think of Smith because I think of Curry as a bench player his freshman year who isn't going to demand a lot of minutes on a talented team. Smith, on the other hand, was an elite recruit and I'm not sure he'd have handled not being a starter/major contributor as well as Curry would have or as well as Marvin did.Don’t forget we also had JamesOn Curry in that 2004 recruiting class until we rescinded his scholarship due to a felony drug conviction. He turned out to be a very good college player, but we did just fine without him.
Of course Curry ended up going to OK State and played with another NC native who ended up being a very good college player: Mario Boggan.
