That’s kinda Little League World Series-esque these days.I miss the days when things like “Favorite Movie” and “Favorite Meal” were listed for each player.
I must be misremembering listening to Carolina games on the radio with no TV coverage…….not listening to Bill “The Mouth of the South” Currie on the radio and watching the TV broadcast……just listening to Bill Currie or Woody because there was no TV broadcast. I guess that never happened.C.D. Cheney disagrees. Sail with the Pilot
That Kansas game is going to be huge for our season - at least in terms of the fan base.
It’s also likely to be UNCs last chance at beating Bill Self… ever. That Kansas game is going to be huge for our season - at least in terms of the fan base.
If we win that game, it'll be a big boost for us in the early season and will be an indication that this team can live up to its potential. If we lose, it's going to be ugly as the complaints about HD will get really loud and it'll be almost 3 weeks before we play another non-cupcake team that could take the edge off those complaints.
That might be the most important regular season game we've played under HD.
Stunning that it’s been 22 years since we’ve beaten KU.
It would be the first time we beat Kansas since the 2002-03 season, and the first time since Roy Williams left Kansas for UNC.That Kansas game is going to be huge for our season - at least in terms of the fan base.

So you think he’s gone after this season?
I don’t have any inside information, per se, but it was not exactly a secret that he was considering hanging it up after last season even. So, combined with his recent heart scare, which some say actually ends up making you feel better from the relief you get, it’s at best a coin flip in my opinion. So you think he’s gone after this season?
I really have no sense or feeling at all for how the season will go. I'm really going into it completely neutral in terms of expectations. I really hope the cautious optimism turns out to be well placed. It would make me very happyNGL I'm cautiously optimistic about the upcoming season. I think CHD has a squad.
Interesting. His last two years weren’t that bad, and he just won a national championship three years ago. Crazy how impatient fans can be. I understand that even the best coaches can lose their edge, but he’s been one of most consistently great coaches over the past 20+ years and experienced very recent success. Seems he deserves the benefit of the doubt. Granted, I understand if he is tired and/or has health concerns, and I’m sure this new world of the portal and NIL isn’t andding any enjoyment.I don’t have any inside information, per se, but it was not exactly a secret that he was considering hanging it up after last season even. KU has had two bad years in a row and the fans have been pretty vile. If this upcoming year is bad too, I would almost guarantee that’s the end. Just kind of all depends on how the year plays out.
If I were in Vegas though and someone gave me the chance, I would bet heavily that this is Self’s last year.
Yep. But I am looking forward to seeing what Seth Trimble, Caleb Wilson, John Doe, Player X, ______________, [insert name of player here], that new guy, that other new guy, et al., etc. can do.I really have no sense or feeling at all for how the season will go.
