Never mind that Styles took a million steps and didn’t get called for it on the inbound that started that final possession lol.One of the best memories for this game will be Wolpfackers yelling, “Goal-tending,” about that last shot JWash rejected (at best that shot was hitting the underside of the rim).
Maybe RJ needs to sit and come off the benchYou know where I stand on this already. Elliot's minutes should decrease but he should be starting for now. Seth is a known commodity off the bench
Elliot hasn't played his best and if I'm Hubert my goal is to get him playing to the potential we've sometimes seen (albeit much earlier in the season). I don't think bringing him off the bench is the way to achieve that
Starting doesn't mean more minutes as we saw the other night and even at times last season. It just means starting. There are plenty of minutes off the bench and a ton will be determined by matchups, who's playing well, foul trouble, etc.
Seth knew what he signed up for. Ian was one of those freshman and RJ and Elliot were returning starters. If Seth is back to playing like he was pre-injury and Elliot continues to struggle Seth will play more
Yeah, what the hell was that? Have they changed that rule?Never mind that Styles took a million steps and didn’t get called for it on the inbound that started that final possession lol.
You can take as many steps as you want, but you must keep one foot within the 3-foot throw in area (designated spot). Styles moved outside the area, and it should have been an inbounds violation.Never mind that Styles took a million steps and didn’t get called for it on the inbound that started that final possession lol.
Edit: Trimble confirmed concussion.Seth doesn’t look anything like g like himself yet. Tentative out there and maybe half a step slow. Do we know whether he had another concussion or was it a different “upper body” injury?
I’m just worried about the young man if he is playing but still not 100% recovered from a concussion…
Huh? I always thought the rule was that you could only take as many steps as you wanted after a made basket, on the baseline. But for any other inbounds, you had to keep one pivot foot planted. You can take as many steps as you want, but you must keep one foot within the 3-foot throw in area (designated spot). Technically it was after a made basket, but didn’t State take a TO then?Huh? I always thought the rule was that you could only take as many steps as you wanted after a made basket, on the baseline. But for any other inbounds, you had to keep one pivot foot planted.
No, ncsux inbounded the ball after the Washington dunk, advanced the ball over midcourt, THEN called timeout. Styles then inbounded from in front of the state bench and committed the (uncalled) inbounds violation by moving both feet outside the 3 ft area of the designated spot. If the timeout had been called after the made basket, ncsux could still run the baseline.Technically it was after a made basket, but didn’t State take a TO then?
After the TO, it becomes a spot throw in… or not?
If it doesn’t, then the State player could run the baseline for the throw in, thus no violation.
I didn’t notice if he stepped out of the 3 ft area
After a TO following a made basket, the in-bounding player can still run the endline.Technically it was after a made basket, but didn’t State take a TO then?

Not if they already unbounded the ball and then called a timeout. Then it becomes a spot throw in.After a TO following a made basket, the in-bounding player can still run the endline.
