Can’t wait to read Adam Lucas’ column about how much Hubert loves UNC and how much losses hurt him because he cares so deeply.

Now multiply that by 1000. Multiply it by a million. Even then you won’t come close to how much this loss pains Hubert Davis. No fan, no matter who you are, cares as much as Hubert Davis. And no one in the history of UNC basketball will work as hard as he will to get the program back on top.”
 
I fully expect multiple articles over the next couple of weeks about how UNC is going to hire a great GM, someone to come in and free Hubert up to focus on coaching.

The PR campaign will be in full swing.

Has more to do with players and yes that’s on the coach to recruit. But dook just has better players this season. Scheyer isn’t some great X’s & O’s tactician. He’s pulled in really good players. Prior to tonight’s game he is 2-2 against UNC as a coach and 3-5 as a player.
 
A current threat on iC point out the consistency issue. If he got another season and we actually had a good year next year, then we’re still holding our breath the year after that. The man has not put together two decent years back to back.

I’m just so, so ready for him to go. Even if that means we lose Caleb Wilson.

K left Scheyer the best HS recruiting system in the country & a well-tuned NIL structure.

Dook has done well, not exceptional, in Scheyer’s first 2 years. This year, though, they have a juggernaut.

Glad I’m not watching, but checking the score, I think this marks the end of the Hubert Davis era. And I previously thought he should be given at least one more year. This is unacceptable. And I don’t mean just this game. It’s an accumulation.
