UNC women are a lot bigger and deeper to start the season (injuries took a huge toll last season), with a retooled offense. Chucking too many threes, though, and look a half-step slow at times on defense.

Plenty of rough edges but solid potential.

offensively looked very much like a team that's still figuring out what works on the court, which is to be expected with so many new faces playing big roles. 37% 3PaR is completely fine, IMO, and I thought most of the attempted threes were good looks, but making 21% of them isn't going to cut it. The shooting was pulled down by Townsend, Grant, Toomey, and Zubich going a combined 0-12, though, and that's 1 transfer and three first-years so you can kind of chalk it up to jitters. If we continue to be bad perimeter shooters, though, it'll really feel like a trend for Banghart.

we're going to be much better defending the paint this season. Was really impressed with Thomas particularly on that end.
 
Feels like the Heels are playing 3 on 5 with RJ, Cadeau and Trimble. Defense is struggling, offense is struggling against the zone, and those 3 seem to be the only ones that can score. Feels like this team is going to have to get a lot of offense from transition baskets and 3s.
 
I think they are going to need to get turnovers and a lot of transition baskets like they have done the past few possessions to be successful.
 
Given I am sitting in Lawrence as I type this, KU is playing really well tonight. KU looked terrible just last week so.. going to be some game on Friday.
 
a little shaky in the early going but this is fun now.

our stable of guards/wings is just ridiculous. RJ, cadeau, trimble, ian and drake on the same team is an embarrassment of riches.

you're gonna be hard pressed to find a better 1-3 elsewhere.
 
Team looks great when they are running and hitting 3s. But really up and down on defense and the half court offense.
 
I’m ready for a new arena. I swear to god every team we play comes in to the Dean Dome and shoots lights out from 3.
